What Are the Components of Prefabricated House Components

Admin September 18, 2026

Prefabricated house components mainly include various types, which can be classified according to materials, functions, and specific component types as follows:

From the perspective of materials, prefabricated house components cover concrete prefabricated components, steel structural components, aerated concrete components, and rock wool board components, among others. Concrete prefabricated components are made from cement, sand, and gravel as raw materials, prefabricated using molds, and have the characteristics of high strength and good durability. They are widely used in the main structure of buildings. Steel structural components use steel as the main material, forming frames through welding or bolt connections. They have the advantages of light weight and fast construction, and are commonly used in high-rise buildings or large-span spatial structures. Aerated concrete components are made from fly ash, cement, and other raw materials, forming a porous structure through a gas-forming process. They combine thermal insulation and lightweight properties and are mostly used in non-load-bearing walls. Rock wool board components are made from basalt as the raw material, melted at high temperatures and blown into fiber boards. They have excellent fire resistance and are often used as exterior wall insulation layers.

According to function, prefabricated components can be divided into horizontal components, vertical components, and special-shaped components. Horizontal components mainly bear the loads of floors or roofs. For example, hollow floor slabs reduce their self-weight through internal hollow structures, while double-T slabs enhance their span capacity with double-rib designs. Vertical components are used to support the vertical loads of buildings, including load-bearing walls (solid, hollow, or with insulation layers), columns (square, circular, or special-shaped cross-sections), etc. Among them, walls with insulation layers can achieve structural and thermal insulation integration. Special-shaped components are designed for specific functional requirements, such as integrated bathrooms that achieve dry-wet separation through factory prefabrication, and bay windows that ensure the accuracy of exterior facade shapes through prefabricated components.

From the perspective of specific component types, prefabricated components cover beams, slabs, columns, and architectural finishing accessories. Beam types include prefabricated concrete T-beams (suitable for large-span structures) and rectangular beams (commonly used in frame structures). Slab types include prefabricated concrete flat slabs (used for simple floors) and hollow slabs (optimized material usage through hollow structures). Column types include prefabricated concrete square columns (convenient for construction) and circular columns (suitable for special shape requirements). Architectural finishing accessories include prefabricated wall panels (integrated thermal insulation and decoration functions), prefabricated stairs (modular installation to improve efficiency), prefabricated balconies (pre-reserved pipeline interfaces), etc. These components, produced through factory standardization, can significantly shorten on-site construction periods and improve project quality.
