Weight of Mobile Public Toilets

Admin September 28, 2026

There is no fixed standard for the weight of mobile public toilets, with the overall weight spanning a wide range from several hundred kilograms to several tons, primarily depending on factors such as type, number of toilet stalls, material, and configuration. Details are as follows:

Small single-unit mobile public toilets: These typically have a single toilet stall and are mostly made of eco-friendly plastic, thin color-coated steel plates, or fiberglass-reinforced plastic. The weight of these toilets is relatively light, generally ranging from 500 to 1000 kilograms. Some portable folding single-unit toilets, due to their more lightweight design, can weigh as low as 300 to 500 kilograms. There is also a view that plastic mobile toilets weigh approximately 100 to 500 kilograms, further demonstrating the diversity in the weight of small single-unit mobile public toilets.

Medium-sized mobile public toilets: These usually have 2 to 3 toilet stalls and are mostly made of color-coated steel plates or fiberglass-reinforced plastic, equipped with basic facilities such as washbasins, exhaust fans, and lighting. The weight of these toilets is approximately between 1000 and 2000 kilograms. Compared to small single-unit mobile public toilets, their weight has increased but is still within the movable range.

Large connected-unit mobile public toilets: These typically have 4 to 6 or more toilet stalls and are mostly made of high-quality steel, stainless steel, or thick fiberglass-reinforced plastic, equipped with comprehensive facilities such as multiple toilet stalls, washbasins, management rooms, and smart devices. The weight of these toilets is relatively large, approximately between 2000 and 5000 kilograms, with some large toilets even exceeding 5000 kilograms. In addition, steel-structured mobile toilets, due to their heavier material, also have a relatively large weight, approximately between 1000 and 3000 kilograms.

Other special cases: For example, a standard mobile toilet, with a main body made of 18mm-thick reinforced panels and dimensions of 1000×1000×2400 millimeters, has a total weight of only 105 kilograms, making it a relatively lightweight type of mobile public toilet. On the other hand, fiberglass-reinforced plastic mobile toilets weigh approximately between 500 and 1500 kilograms, depending on their design and configuration.
