Two Container House Design
The following is an analysis of design cases for two container houses:

IKEA Team Design Case: This design focuses on the efficient use of space and personalized needs. For the room of 22-year-old student Nike, open storage units and foldable furniture are used, such as hanging desks, convertible sofas, and furniture with casters. Through the use of vertical space and multifunctional furniture combinations, flexible functional transformations are achieved within small areas. For example, the desk can be rotated to serve as a dining table. When the convertible sofa is unfolded into a double bed, the built-in storage space can store items, meeting both social and living needs. For the room of 31-year-old user Liv, the core concept is a 'sanctuary'. Private and tranquil feelings are created through enclosed storage units, soft textiles, and natural materials. The modular sofa bed combines comfort with hidden storage functions. Lightweight curtains and plants not only protect privacy but also adjust the light, reflecting attention to psychological needs.
Brazilian Architect Marilia Pellegrini Design Case: This design emphasizes material innovation and spatial transparency. The exterior is covered with white Dekton corrugated metal structures. This material is formed by high-pressure fusion of quartz, porcelain, and glass, with a hardness exceeding that of granite, and features both UV resistance and heat resistance, ensuring long-term stability. Large glass walls and doorways introduce natural light. Chinese bamboo is planted in the external courtyard, combined with cross-style windows and slender blinds. While providing shade, they create light and shadow interactions, enhancing the integration of the building with nature. The interior uses white as the main color tone, expanding the sense of space through color uniformity. The two containers are divided into public areas (living room, dining room) and private areas (bedroom with bathroom), with clear functional zoning and simple circulation. The renovation cost is 250,000 yuan, reflecting the cost of high-end customized design.
Comparative Summary: The IKEA team design places more emphasis on functional flexibility in small spaces and adaptation to user behavior, meeting the needs of young people through modular furniture and vertical storage. Marilia Pellegrini's design focuses on material durability and optimization of the spatial experience, enhancing living quality with high-end materials and natural elements. Both achieve rapid construction through the standardized structure of containers, but the former emphasizes economy and adaptability, while the latter highlights personalization and long-term value.
