Mobile Travel Toilet

Admin September 20, 2026

The mobile toilet in travel toilets is a facility that can be moved as a whole and placed at fixed or temporary locations to provide toilet services for the public and customers.

Suitable Locations

Mobile toilets are suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly-built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. These places often have a high volume of foot traffic, with a concentrated and possibly temporary demand for toilet facilities. Mobile toilets can flexibly meet these needs.

Composition and Structure

Generally, they consist of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. These components work together to ensure that the mobile toilet can provide normal toilet services and is easy to move and install.

Development History and Classification

Initially, mobile toilets were made of materials such as wood, with simple structures and functions, and were prone to absorbing odors. Later, they gradually evolved to use materials like fiberglass and polyethylene, improving their durability and environmental friendliness. According to structural form, they can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets; according to mobility method, they can be divided into hoisting and handling mobile toilets, powered and towed mobile toilets; according to sewage treatment method, they can be divided into water-flush and non-water-flush suction mobile toilets, circulating water-flush mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets.

Practical Examples

For example, the four-squat mobile toilet produced by Dezhou Hongtu Metal Products Co., Ltd. is 4 meters long and 2.3 meters wide, with an overall pointed roof design. The exterior walls are made of heat-insulating and thermal-protective metal carved panels. The men's toilet has two squats, a urinal, and a column basin. There is also the mobile toilet from Lanzhou Tongchuang, which is entirely welded using thickened galvanized square tubes.

Advantages and Design Principles

Mobile toilets have advantages such as being movable, combinable, and easy to transport. Their design should follow the principles of easy mobility, economic durability; environmental protection and ecological friendliness; and improving efficiency and promoting humanitarianism, in order to better meet the public's toilet needs and adapt to different usage scenarios.
