Dimensions of Travel Mobile Toilets

Admin October 08, 2026

The common dimensions of travel mobile toilets vary depending on their type and functional requirements, and can be categorized into the following three standard specifications and special-scenario dimensions:

1. Single-compartment Mobile Restroom
This type is suitable for construction sites, small events, and other scenarios, with the core design goal of meeting basic usage needs while ensuring portability. The standard dimension range is: length 1.2-1.5 meters, width 1.0-1.2 meters, and height 2.2-2.5 meters. These dimensions can accommodate one squat or sit toilet and provide basic activity space, while also facilitating transportation by vehicle or manual handling. For example, a specification of 1.2 meters in length and 1.0 meters in width can fit small trucks for transportation, while a height of 2.5 meters is designed to meet the headspace requirements for adults standing during use.

2. Double-compartment Mobile Restroom
For large events, tourist attractions, and other scenarios with high foot traffic, the double-compartment design enhances usage efficiency by increasing the number of toilet compartments. The standard dimension range is: length 2.4-3.0 meters, width 1.2-1.5 meters, and height 2.2-2.5 meters. Taking a specification of 2.4 meters in length and 1.2 meters in width as an example, two independent toilet compartments can be arranged side by side, with each compartment having the same internal space as a single-compartment restroom, but with a more compact overall footprint. Some tourist attractions adopt a specification of 3.0 meters in length and 1.5 meters in width, achieving wider aisle space through optimized internal layout.

3. Multi-functional Mobile Restroom
Suitable for high-end events, long-term fixed locations, and other scenarios with high comfort requirements, its dimensions need to accommodate functional expandability. The standard dimension range is: length 3.0-4.5 meters, width 2.0-2.5 meters, and height 2.5-3.0 meters. For example, a specification of 4.5 meters in length and 2.5 meters in width can integrate accessible toilet compartments, baby care stations, handwashing stations, and other facilities, while a height of 3.0 meters is designed to meet the installation requirements for ventilation systems and lighting equipment. Some long-term use locations also adopt a modular design, forming service stations by combining multiple multi-functional restrooms.

Special-scenario Dimensions
Some tourist attractions customize the dimensions of mobile toilets based on actual needs. For example, prefabricated mobile restrooms adopt a specification of 2.5 meters by 6.5 meters, with three independent toilet compartments inside, suitable for tourist attractions with moderate foot traffic; another combination design features four squat toilets and one handwashing area, with a total length of 6 meters, meeting usage demands during peak hours while reducing cleaning and maintenance costs through centralized layout.
