Tonghua Rural Renovation Mobile Toilets

Admin October 05, 2026

The renovation of mobile toilets in rural areas of Tonghua mainly advances in terms of facility structure, flushing systems, waste disposal, water-saving design, and policy guidance.

In terms of facility structure, the main body of the mobile toilet is made of high-strength composite materials, ensuring good sealing and structural stability. Service providers can complete transportation and on-site assembly within a relatively short time according to the scale of demand through standardized production and inventory management, enabling the toilets to adapt to different terrain conditions in rural Tonghua and ensuring safe use.

The flushing system design is tailored to rural realities. Given the lack of complete flushing facilities and tap water networks in rural toilets, a rainwater collection system, a shared pipeline network system for rainwater and tap water, and a flushing system have been designed. When precipitation is abundant, recycled water is primarily used for flushing; when precipitation is insufficient, tap water is mainly used. The two flushing pipelines can be switched between each other, forming a shared pipeline network system for rainwater and tap water.

For waste disposal, the mobile toilets are equipped with a biodegradation treatment system that reduces the risk of waste pollution through the dual effects of microbial decomposition and chemical neutralization, effectively improving the rural sanitary environment and reducing pollution to surrounding soil and water sources.

Water-saving design is also a crucial aspect. Water-saving flushing systems typically adopt pressure-based or vacuum-based designs, with a single flush volume controlled at less than 30% of that of traditional facilities. Some systems are equipped with reclaimed water circulation devices that filter and disinfect hand-washing wastewater for reuse in flushing, achieving closed-loop water resource utilization within a single facility and alleviating water scarcity issues in rural areas.

In terms of policy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs emphasizes the requirements for advancing rural toilet renovation during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, providing guidance for the renovation of mobile toilets in rural Tonghua. It is essential to leverage the principal role of farmers, adapt measures to local conditions, prioritize long-term maintenance and management, take farmer satisfaction as an important criterion for measuring effectiveness, solidly advance rural toilet renovation in key areas, strengthen the treatment and utilization of toilet waste, improve the socialized maintenance and management service system, and enhance the quality and effectiveness of the rural toilet revolution.
