Tongchuan Mobile Toilet Safety Inspection

Admin October 01, 2026

The safety inspection of mobile toilets in Tongchuan can be carried out by the Shaanxi Building Inspection Center, covering various aspects to ensure their safety and functionality meet standards.

I. Structural Safety Inspection
Structural safety is the core aspect of mobile toilet safety inspections. Inspectors use visual checks, spirit levels, rangefinders, and other tools to evaluate the overall stability of the public toilet structure, focusing on identifying issues such as tilting, cracks, or deformation. For critical load-bearing components, pressure testing equipment may be used to verify strength, ensuring the structure will not collapse under normal or extreme conditions.

II. Internal Equipment and System Inspection

  1. Equipment Integrity: Through visual inspection and functional testing, the integrity and operational status of equipment such as toilets, urinals, and sinks are confirmed, including whether flushing functions properly and faucets leak.
  2. Water Supply and Drainage System: Water pressure gauges are used to test water supply pressure, ensuring water-using equipment can function normally. Actual water discharge tests are conducted to check the smoothness of drainage pipes, preventing blockages or odor issues.
  3. Electrical System: Voltmeters and ammeters are used to check whether the voltage and current of electrical equipment such as lighting, ventilation, and heating devices meet safety standards. Actual operation tests verify equipment functionality, such as whether lighting brightness meets standards and whether ventilation systems can effectively exchange air.

III. Environmental Protection and Hygiene Inspection

  1. Environmental Protection System: Actual water consumption tests are used to evaluate the water-saving effectiveness of water-saving devices, such as whether single-flush volumes meet water-saving standards. Odor detectors assess the performance of deodorization devices to ensure indoor air quality meets standards.
  2. Hygiene Conditions: Visual inspections and bacterial tests (such as ATP bioluminescence tests) are used to evaluate the cleanliness of floors, walls, and equipment surfaces, ensuring no stains, dust accumulation, or excessive pathogenic bacteria.

IV. Compliance Verification
Third-party inspection agencies also conduct comprehensive verification of material properties (such as fire and corrosion resistance ratings), microbial control (such as disinfection effectiveness), and waste disposal systems (such as septic tank sealing) of mobile toilets to ensure compliance with national regulations such as the Urban Public Toilet Design Standard (CJJ 14-2016) and the Hygiene Standards for Portable Sanitation Facilities.

Through the above inspection process, potential safety hazards of mobile toilets can be systematically identified, ensuring their safety, functionality, and environmental protection during use and providing reliable sanitation facilities for the public.
