Tongchuan Biodegradable Mobile Toilet

Admin October 13, 2026

Tongchuan biodegradable mobile toilet is a type of toilet that employs a new anaerobic ammonium oxidation microbial technology, offering multiple advantages such as water conservation, freeze resistance, and environmental protection.

Water Conservation and Reclaimed Water Reuse: This toilet does not use tap water for flushing. Instead, it achieves reclaimed water reuse through microbial technology. The treatment effect of the reclaimed water is excellent, even reaching the point where it can support the breeding of koi fish. This significantly conserves water resources, making it particularly suitable for areas with relatively scarce water supplies.

Strong Freeze Resistance: The design without a water tank enables the system to self-circulate. Even in extremely cold environments at minus 20 degrees Celsius, it can still operate normally without malfunctioning due to low temperatures, ensuring stable use in cold regions.

No Need for Manual Sewage Removal: Microbial degradation technology reduces the amount of biochemical sludge by over 90%. Sewage removal is only required every 3 - 5 years. Moreover, the removed biochemical sludge can be directly used as fertilizer, achieving resource reuse and reducing the hassle and cost of sewage treatment.

Hygiene and Odor-Free: Microbial degradation technology effectively solves the problem of dirt and odor in toilets, leaving the interior odor-free, clean, and hygienic. It provides users with a good toilet environment and enhances the user experience.

Intelligent Equipment: The equipment adopts automated control. The efficient treatment module reduces the volume of the treatment system by 30% compared to a "three-compartment" septic tank, saving space while also improving treatment efficiency and facilitating management and maintenance.

Environmentally Friendly and Pollution-Free: Throughout the treatment process, no chemical reagents or drugs are added, preventing secondary pollution. It solves the fecal pollution problem of dry toilets and eliminates the pathways for fecal-borne diseases. Additionally, anaerobic ammonium oxidation bacteria use carbon dioxide as a carbon source, neutralizing carbon dioxide in the air and thus enabling the acquisition of carbon credits, which is of positive significance for environmental protection.

Currently, Fengjiayuan Village in Hongtu Town, Yintai District, Tongchuan City, has served as a pilot project, with 202 households having their toilets renovated and put into use, receiving unanimous praise from the masses. In addition, there are different types such as the Zhejiang 3-squat-position 1-management-room microbial degradation mobile toilet and the Tongchuan military microbial degradation mobile toilet, meeting the needs of different scenarios.
