How to Refit a Mobile Toilet Vehicle
Admin October 13, 2026
There are mainly two ways to refit a mobile toilet vehicle: based on an electric tricycle and based on a bus. Here are the specific refitting steps:

Refitting Based on an Electric Tricycle
- Preliminary Preparation: Clarify the refitting requirements, such as the number of users and functional needs of the toilet. Purchase toilet facilities according to the needs, including toilets, sinks, shower equipment (optional), etc. At the same time, prepare materials such as waterproof materials, fasteners, wires and cables, as well as tools like electric drills and screwdrivers.
- Vehicle Body Modification: Reinforce the body of the electric tricycle to ensure it can bear the weight of the toilet facilities. Lay waterproof materials inside the body to prevent sewage leakage. Plan the internal space reasonably and divide it into functional areas such as a toilet area and a sink area.
- Facility Installation: Install the toilet, sink, shower equipment, etc. according to the planned positions. Arrange the electrical circuits to provide power support for lighting, ventilation, and other equipment, ensuring electrical safety.
- Detail Handling: Open ventilation holes to ensure air circulation in the toilet and reduce odors. Install safety facilities such as handrails and non-slip mats to improve safety during use. Regularly clean the toilet to maintain hygiene.
- Testing and Adjustment: After completing the refitting, conduct functional tests to check whether the toilet flushing, sink drainage, and electrical circuits are normal. Adjust and optimize the positions and layouts of the facilities according to the test results to ensure comfortable use.
Refitting Based on a Bus
- Selecting a Base Vehicle Model: Choose a bus suitable for refitting, such as the Zhongtong Shiteng series buses. These models are convenient for traveling in urban areas and have a neat and beautiful appearance.
- Vehicle Body Modification: Adopt a non-load-bearing frame structure body and a front-mounted engine. This structure can better adapt to the upper-body modification and improve the vehicle's stability and load-bearing capacity.
- Facility Installation: Set up independent doors corresponding to different compartments, such as a ladies' toilet and a men's toilet, for the convenience of different groups of people. Install decorative panels similar to those of standard buses to enhance the overall aesthetics of the toilet.
- Safety Standards: Install a camera on the top of the rear of the vehicle to monitor the surrounding situation of the vehicle in real time, ensuring that the safety standards are equivalent to those of ordinary buses.
