How to Remove a Movable Partition for Toilet Doors

Admin October 09, 2026

The removal of a movable partition for toilet doors requires selecting the appropriate method based on the specific type. Here are the common steps:

I. Removal of Bathroom Sliding Doors (Including Glass Doors)

  1. Track Removal
    • Use a screwdriver or wrench to unscrew the screws on both sides of the sliding track that are fixed to the wall (usually 2 - 4 screws). Be careful to protect the wall from scratches during the operation.
    • For glass doors, first remove the door track locking device (skip this step if you want to keep the track).
  2. Door Panel Separation
    • Adjust the screws at the bottom of the door panel (rotate counterclockwise) to detach the bottom from the sliding track. For glass doors, use suction cups to fix the door panel to prevent it from falling.
    • Lift the door panel and pull out the transmission device (such as rollers or sliders) connected to the sliding track.
  3. Door Frame/Partition Panel Removal
    • Unscrew the fixing screws on both sides of the door frame and use a rubber mallet to gently tap to separate the door frame from the wall.
    • For partition panels, first remove the top/bottom tracks, loosen the ground connection hooks, and finally use a wallpaper knife to cut through the wall adhesive materials (such as sealant and foam adhesive).

II. Removal of Bathroom Partitions (Non-Sliding Doors)

  1. Tool Preparation
    • You will need an electric screwdriver, drawer track remover, axe, hammer, wallpaper knife, and other tools.
  2. Removal Process
    • Use a drawer track remover to remove the top/bottom tracks of the partition.
    • Use an electric screwdriver to remove the screws connecting the partition to the wall and loosen the ground connection hooks.
    • Use a wallpaper knife to cut through the wall adhesive materials, and then use a hammer or axe to gently remove the partition panel (avoid violent hammering to prevent wall damage).

III. General Precautions

  1. Safety Protection
    • Turn off the water and electricity facilities before removal. Wear gloves and goggles to prevent scratches or flying debris.
    • When handling glass doors, be sure to use suction cups to fix them to prevent them from falling due to an imbalance in the center of gravity.
  2. Wall Protection
    • Gently tap the door frame or partition panel to avoid using excessive force that could damage the tiles or paint.
  3. Subsequent Treatment
    • Clean up the remaining garbage and dust, and check if the screws are intact (replace damaged ones for subsequent installation).

If you encounter heavy-duty glass doors, complex structures, or have difficulty with the operation, it is advisable to contact professionals to handle it to avoid safety hazards caused by improper operation.
