Dimensions of Mobile Toilets in Tianjin

Admin September 20, 2026

The dimensions of mobile toilets in Tianjin vary depending on the type and usage scenario. The common external dimensions of a single unit range from 1.2 to 1.5 meters in length, 1.0 to 1.2 meters in width, and 2.0 to 2.3 meters in height. They can be specifically categorized into the following three types:

I. Standard Dimension Range

The external dimensions of standard single-unit mobile toilets are designed to balance the activity space for adults and transportation convenience. Their length typically ranges from 1.2 to 1.5 meters, width from 1.0 to 1.2 meters, and height from 2.0 to 2.3 meters. For example, common specifications include 1.2m × 1.2m × 2.3m and 1.5m × 1.5m × 2.5m, among others. These dimensions are suitable for ordinary public places such as scenic spots and temporary event venues, meeting the basic usage needs of a single person while facilitating transportation via conventional means.

II. Special Type Dimensions

  1. Barrier-Free Mobile Toilets: To accommodate individuals with disabilities, their length and width are usually expanded to over 1.8 meters, with an internal height of approximately 2.5 meters. Such designs require reserved space for wheelchair rotation and are equipped with handrails, low-level washbasins, and other facilities to ensure barrier-free access.
  2. Trailer-Mounted Mobile Toilets: Their dimensions are similar to those of large single units or small row units, but the bottom structure is reinforced to meet trailer transportation requirements. Their external dimensions may approach 3 meters (length) × 2 meters (width), with height adjusted according to functional modules.
  3. Large/Modular Mobile Toilets: Suitable for high-traffic scenarios such as large exhibitions and emergency disaster relief, their length can be extended to over 3 meters, width to about 2 meters, and area to over 18 square meters, with product height typically over 2.6 meters. These toilets may include multiple independent units or functional areas (such as management rooms and storage rooms).

III. Other Common Specification Examples

Some mobile toilets adopt non-standard dimensions, for example:

  • 1.28m (length) × 1.28m (width) × 2.3m (height): Suitable for space-constrained venues such as narrow streets or temporary construction sites.
  • 1.5m (length) × 1.2m (width) × 2.9m (height): Optimizes internal space by increasing height to enhance user comfort.
  • 1200 × 1500 × 3000 mm (length × width × height): Precise specifications in millimeters, commonly found in export products or customized requirements.

Basis for Dimension Design: The dimensions of mobile toilets must comprehensively consider ergonomics (such as space for squatting or sitting), ventilation and lighting requirements, transportation constraints (such as road height limits and container dimensions), and site adaptability (such as ground bearing capacity). For example, the expanded dimensions of barrier-free toilets comply with the requirements of the Barrier-Free Design Code, while the reinforced structure of trailer-mounted toilets must meet road transportation safety standards.
