Tianhu Mobile Toilet Installation
Admin September 21, 2026
The installation of Tianhu mobile toilets needs to be adjusted according to the toilet type and site conditions. The specific process is as follows:

1. Determine the sewage discharge method
Select the sewage discharge mode based on the toilet type:
- Packing or microbial degradation type: No need to connect to the sewer pipe. It can be directly moved to the predetermined location.
- Flush type: Plan the sewage discharge route in advance to ensure unobstructed passage for sewer pipes or fecal suction trucks. If there is no municipal sewer network on the site, a dedicated septic tank needs to be set up.
2. Site assessment and location selection
- Location selection: Give priority to setting up at the edge of areas with high pedestrian traffic or near passageways. Avoid the upwind side of activity areas to reduce odor impact.
- Ground conditions: Ensure that the ground is flat and solid. If it is soft ground such as grass or mud, lay pads or wooden boards to disperse the load and prevent the toilet from sinking.
- Proximity to resources: The location should be close to water supply points and sewage discharge interfaces to shorten the distance of pipe connections and reduce construction difficulty.
3. Handling and positioning
- Selection of load-bearing points:
- For pointed-roof toilets, the load-bearing part is near the top. For flat-roof toilets, lifting hooks are usually reserved as lifting points.
- Handling methods:
- For large toilets (more than 4 toilet stalls), use forklifts, cranes, or special trailers for handling.
- For small toilets (less than 4 toilet stalls), install wheels at the bottom and manually push them to the designated location.
- Leveling treatment: After positioning, use a spirit level to check if the toilet is level. Adjust the bottom foot pads or insert wedges for leveling to ensure stability during use.
4. System connection
- Water supply connection: Use a drinking-water-grade hose to connect to a reliable water source (such as a temporary water tank or on-site water supply port), and connect the other end to the toilet's water inlet. Check the water pressure and empty the air in the pipe.
- Sewage connection:
- Flush-type toilets need to connect the sewage pipe to the municipal sewer network or septic tank.
- For non-flush or biodegradable toilets, this step can be omitted.
- Installation of internal facilities: Assemble the toilet bowls, flushing systems, sinks (if any), lighting, and ventilation equipment. Modular water and electricity interfaces (such as quick connectors) can shorten the installation time.
5. Function inspection and debugging
- Flush test: Check if the flushing system is unobstructed and if the water volume meets the requirements.
- Circuit inspection: Ensure that electrical equipment such as lighting and ventilation works properly and there is no risk of electric leakage.
- Seal inspection: Check if the sewage pipes are blocked, if the ground at the toilet bowl installation position is level, and install sealing rings or apply glass glue at the sewage outlet to prevent leakage.
6. Other precautions
- Before installation, comprehensively check if there are any foreign objects blocking the sewage pipes and pre-embed plastic sleeves for expansion screws (if fixation is required).
- Refer to standards such as the Hygiene Code for Mobile Toilets (GB/T 21239-2023) to ensure structural safety and hygiene standards are met.
- The installation of integrated box-type toilets is simpler. On-site, only lifting and positioning, connecting water and electricity, and sewage pipes are required, and the overall time can be shortened to 2-4 hours.
