Container House Parts & Construction: A Complete Breakdown

Admin October 31, 2026

The components and construction of container houses mainly include structural frames, wall and roof materials, floors, doors and windows, modular design, and additional features.

The structural frame serves as the foundational support for container houses, typically utilizing galvanized steel frames known for their excellent strength and durability, capable of bearing the weight of the house and external pressures. Some container houses also employ corrosion-resistant Corten steel to enhance their resistance to harsh environments and extend their service life.

In terms of wall and roof materials, container houses predominantly use waterproof sandwich panels. These panels feature a variety of filling materials, including EPS, rock wool, glass wool, or polyurethane (PU), all of which offer good thermal insulation, sound insulation, and heat resistance properties. The roof structure typically consists of galvanized colored steel sheets paired with glass wool insulation layers and additional colored steel sheets, ensuring both roof sturdiness and effective thermal insulation.

For the floor, container houses generally adopt 18mm fiber cement boards as the base layer, known for their high strength and stability. On top of this, PVC flooring is laid, providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance while being easy to clean and maintain.

Regarding door and window design, container houses often feature PVC sliding windows and single doors, which save space and are convenient to use. Additionally, some products offer customization services for size and color to meet diverse customer needs.

Modular design is a standout feature of container houses. By pre-assembling key components such as roofs and floors in factories, rapid on-site installation can be achieved, significantly shortening the construction period. Moreover, multiple container units can be flexibly combined to form residential buildings, dormitories, hotels, or commercial structures, catering to various usage scenarios.

In terms of additional features, some container house products boast earthquake resistance, mobility, environmental friendliness, leak-proofing, moisture resistance, thermal insulation, waterproofing, and wind resistance. They also support customized layouts and interior decorations, making the houses more aligned with personalized requirements.
