Temporary Mobile Toilet

Admin October 10, 2026

A temporary mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides temporary toilet services to the public. It is introduced from multiple aspects as follows:

Applicable Places

Temporary mobile toilets are suitable for a variety of places, including stations, docks, tourist attractions, newly built residential areas, large construction sites, squares, as well as densely populated public places and bustling commercial streets. These places often have characteristics such as high pedestrian traffic, concentrated and temporary or phased toilet demands, and mobile toilets can well meet these needs.

Composition Structure

Mobile toilets generally consist of multiple parts. The fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device) is used to collect and treat fecal sewage; the floor provides a stable standing and moving space for users; sanitary ware such as toilets or squat pans are the core equipment for using the toilet; walls serve to separate and protect privacy; washing equipment facilitates users' cleaning; water tanks provide water for operations such as flushing; the roof protects against wind and rain; and the mobile device enables the toilet to be moved as a whole conveniently.

Classification Methods

  • By structural form: They can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. The single-structure type is relatively simple and independent, while the composite-structure type may be composed of multiple parts and may have more complex and diverse functions.
  • By moving method: There are lifting and handling-type mobile toilets, which usually require lifting equipment or manual handling for movement; and powered and towed-type mobile toilets, which can be moved by power drive or towing, making movement more convenient.
  • By sewage treatment method: They are classified into water-flushing and non-water-flushing suction-type mobile toilets, circulating water-flushing mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets. Different treatment methods are suitable for different environments and needs. For example, the water-flushing type offers an experience closer to that of traditional toilets, while the dry-packing type is more suitable for areas with scarce water resources.

Features and Advantages

It can be conveniently transported to any place where a toilet needs to be set up and can be used repeatedly. It has advantages such as mobility, combinability, and convenient transportation. Its emergence originated from people's temporary and phased toilet demands in certain specific situations. The government sets them up in areas where it is relatively difficult to build fixed public toilets to make up for the shortcomings of insufficient public toilet supply and unreasonable layout. At the same time, the design of mobile toilets follows the principles of convenient movement, economic durability; environmental protection and ecological friendliness; and improving efficiency and promoting humanity.
