Temporary Mobile Toilet Feces Collection

Admin September 28, 2026

There are various methods for collecting feces in temporary mobile toilets, including water-flush and non-water-flush suction types, bagging types, biodegradation types, direct-discharge and feces-box types, circulating water-flush types, and foam-blocking types, among others. There are also clear regulations for storage and disposal.

Collection Methods

  1. Water-flush and Non-water-flush Suction Types: Water-flush types use a water-flushing device to flush feces into a bottom sewage tank, while non-water-flush types directly receive excreta in the sewage tank. Due to the limited capacity of the sewage tank, timely suction is required to prevent overflow, making it suitable for scenarios with high hygiene requirements and suction capabilities.
  2. Bagging Collection: Degradable plastic bags are used to receive excreta, with a new bag automatically replaced after each use. After use, they are collected and transported to a treatment plant. This method does not require water flushing and is convenient for collecting waste, making it particularly suitable for scenarios with high personnel mobility, such as large events and construction sites.
  3. Biodegradation Collection: Microorganisms are used to decompose organic matter in feces, generating gas and water. The gas can be purified and discharged, while the liquid can be used as organic fertilizer, achieving on-site consumption. This method is environmentally friendly and has a high degree of resource utilization, making it suitable for places with high environmental protection requirements.
  4. Direct-discharge and Feces-box Types: Direct-discharge types are connected to sewer pipes and discharge feces directly into a designated treatment system; feces-box types have a collection box inside the toilet, which is removed and cleaned when full. Direct-discharge types rely on sewer pipes, while feces-box types require regular cleaning of the collection box.
  5. Circulating Water-flush Type: Equipped with intermittent aerobic and anaerobic treatment devices, biological strains are added to accelerate fermentation and decomposition. The treated water is recycled for flushing the toilet, reducing suction frequency and saving water resources, making it suitable for areas with water shortages.
  6. Foam-blocking Type: Foam generated by a foaming liquid mixture covers the toilet bowl, replacing the flushing function. The foam level is controlled by an intelligent system, and sewage enters a biochemical tank through pipes for treatment. This method saves water and is hygienic, making it suitable for places with high water-saving requirements.

Storage and Disposal

During the storage stage, waste is usually safely enclosed in feces storage tanks made of high-strength fiberglass or polyethylene, which are corrosion-resistant and leak-proof, and equipped with sealed delivery ports and suction ports. For final disposal, professional feces suction trucks use vacuum pumps to suction waste from the feces storage tanks and transport it to sewage treatment plants or feces treatment centers for harmless treatment; bagging toilets transport sealed waste bags/buckets to garbage disposal stations for incineration or landfilling; biodegradation products can be handed over to professional institutions for use as greening compost.
