Mobile Bus Toilets at Taiyuan Station

Admin October 08, 2026

The mobile bus toilets at Taiyuan Station mainly include two types: the 'Mobile Toilet Bus' and the modular mobile toilets.

'Mobile Toilet Bus':

  • Parking Location and Time: From the arrival of the first train in the early morning until the departure of the last train late at night, it is parked at the most prominent location in front of Taiyuan Railway Station square all day long, facilitating easy access for travelers.
  • Internal Facilities: The bus is equipped with independent squatting stalls, a third toilet for the disabled, automatic flushing, and a deodorization system, providing a comfortable and hygienic restroom environment for users. Additionally, it features a baby care station, emergency medicine, and mobile phone charging ports to meet the special needs of different groups.
  • Service Management: Four full-time cleaning staff are on duty in shifts, conducting hourly inspections to ensure the cleanliness of the toilets. The exterior of the bus is painted with the words 'Free Use', and signs and announcements are synchronized to facilitate identification and use by travelers. Priority use of the third toilet is given to the elderly, young children, the sick, the disabled, and pregnant women, reflecting humanized service. Furthermore, the bus is equipped with a trash can recycling system, and cleaning staff clear the trash bags every two hours to prevent 'secondary pollution'.

Modular Mobile Toilets:

  • Design Features: They adopt a factory-prefabricated modular design, with each module being an independent 'small house' containing a restroom, sink, and barrier-free facilities. After being transported to the site, they can be quickly assembled using lifting equipment and put into use on the same day, significantly shortening the construction period.
  • Flexibility and Intelligence: Multiple modules can be flexibly assembled into toilet clusters of different sizes according to the needs of different scenarios. The modules are equipped with intelligent positioning systems and hydraulic drive devices at the bottom, allowing remote control of toilet movement via a mobile app and even automatic adjustment of position according to peak traffic, improving the efficiency of toilet use.
  • Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency: They are made of waterproof and fireproof new composite materials and are equipped with solar power supply systems and rainwater recycling devices internally, reducing energy consumption by about 30% annually and aligning with the development concept of green environmental protection. Taiyuan City has promoted these new toilets throughout the city, focusing on deployment in old residential areas, commercial districts, and scenic spots, with plans to add 200 modular mobile toilets in the next three years.
