Taiyuan Mobile Ecological Waterless Toilet
The Taiyuan mobile ecological waterless toilet mainly includes two types: waterless packaged mobile public toilets and microbial strain decomposition mobile toilets, with foam-blocking mobile public toilets serving as a water-saving supplementary option. Here is a detailed introduction:

Waterless packaged mobile public toilets are a typical representative of Taiyuan's mobile ecological waterless toilets. Their core design concept is to completely eliminate dependence on water resources and achieve fecal collection through physical means. Specifically, these toilets use biodegradable plastic bags as fecal collection containers. After users defecate, the waste directly falls into the plastic bag without the need for flushing. When the bag is full, it can be replaced with a new one for cleaning and maintenance. This design not only avoids the sewage discharge problems caused by traditional water-flushing toilets but also significantly reduces water consumption, making it particularly suitable for water-scarce areas or temporary event venues. The structure is simple and maintenance is convenient, but the plastic bags need to be regularly cleaned up, and the proper disposal of waste must be ensured.
Microbial strain decomposition mobile toilets achieve harmless treatment of feces through biotechnology. These toilets are equipped with high-efficiency microbial strains that can rapidly decompose the organic matter in feces, converting it into carbon dioxide, water, and a small amount of inorganic salts. Experimental data shows that under the same capacity conditions, feces can be fully decomposed within 4-8 hours with little to no odor. In addition, the microbial decomposition process effectively inhibits the growth of pathogens and reduces the risk of disease transmission. These toilets do not require an external water supply or sewage pipes, making them suitable for long-term deployment in public places or ecologically sensitive areas. However, their operation requires regular replenishment of microbial strains and control of the ambient temperature to maintain strain activity.
Foam-blocking mobile public toilets, although not completely waterless, significantly reduce water consumption through foam-blocking technology. This technology uses a foaming device to generate a large amount of fine foam that covers the surface of the feces, forming a sealed layer to block odors and prevent mosquito breeding. Compared with traditional water-flushing toilets, foam-blocking public toilets can achieve over 70% water savings while keeping the interior of the toilet clean. Their applicable scenarios are similar to those of waterless packaged public toilets, but they require a small amount of water for foam generation, and the maintenance cost is slightly higher than that of completely waterless toilets.
