Single-Story Four-Slope Five-Ridge Prefabricated House
Admin September 19, 2026
The construction of a single-story four-slope five-ridge prefabricated house requires comprehensive consideration of various factors such as structure, construction, materials, and cost. The following are key points for analysis:

1. Structural and Construction Key Points
- Load Calculation and Reinforcement: When using prefabricated panels for a four-slope five-ridge roof, it is necessary to accurately calculate the self-weight, wind load, snow load, etc., to ensure structural safety. If the original roof has insufficient load-bearing capacity, reinforcement is required by adding support structures or replacing with high-strength prefabricated panels.
- Waterproofing and Insulation: Due to the large roof slope, it is crucial to strictly handle the joint gaps. SBS modified bitumen waterproofing membranes (thickness ≥ 4mm) or waterproof coatings should be used, and an insulation layer (such as polystyrene board) should be installed to meet the needs of cold regions.
- Ridge Line Treatment: The ridge line position requires special reinforcement to ensure flatness and firmness, preventing rainwater leakage or structural deformation.
2. Construction Steps
- Frame Design: Design the roof frame according to the building dimensions (e.g., length 15 meters, width 10.5 meters) to ensure stability.
- Prefabricated Panel Installation: Check the panel quality (e.g., C30 concrete, φ8@150 steel reinforcement mesh), clean the base layer, and assemble according to the design. Reserve φ12 connecting steel bars to enhance overall integrity.
- Waterproofing and Insulation Layer Installation: Lay the waterproofing membrane and insulation materials sequentially on the surface of the prefabricated panels, paying attention to material compatibility.
- Detail Handling: Focus on inspecting drainage outlets, ventilation openings, and other parts to ensure smooth drainage and no leakage risks.
3. Ridge Height Design
- Recommended Range: The ridge height is recommended to be between 3 meters and 3.5 meters, depending on the slope coefficient (tanθ, with θ ranging from 25° to 35°), drainage requirements, and material load-bearing capacity.
- Height Selection:
- Economical Type (3 meters to 3.1 meters): With a slope of 28° to 30°, suitable for most regions with low material consumption.
- High-Drainage Type (3.5 meters): With a slope close to 35°, suitable for areas with heavy rainfall or snow accumulation, but with a 15% to 20% increase in material consumption.
- Limitations: For tiled roofs, the ridge height should preferably be ≤ 3.3 meters; for color steel plates, it can be appropriately increased. If loft space is required, a height of 3 meters can ensure a net height of 2.2 meters; at the same time, it must comply with local building codes.
4. Materials and Cost
- Prefabricated Panel Specifications: Taking C30 concrete panels as an example, the dimensions are 3600mm × 600mm × 120mm, with a built-in double-layer steel reinforcement mesh.
- Market Prices: The prices of color steel plate prefabricated houses vary by region, such as 105 yuan/square meter in Zhengzhou, 200 yuan/square meter in Hefei, and 100 yuan/square meter in Baotou. Selection should be based on budget and needs.
