Admin September 17, 2026

The specifications of container houses in Sichuan are diverse, covering standard sizes, customized sizes, internal configurations, and load-bearing material parameters, as detailed below:

Standard Size Types

  1. 20-foot Container: Based on a 20-foot shipping container, it has external dimensions of 6.058 meters in length × 2.438 meters in width × 2.591 meters in height, and internal dimensions of 5.898 meters in length × 2.352 meters in width × 2.393 meters in height, with a volume of approximately 33 cubic meters and a usable area of about 14.7 square meters. The single container weighs about 2.2 tons, with a maximum load capacity of 28 tons. It is suitable for single-person accommodation or small offices and is commonly found in construction site dormitories and temporary shops.
  2. 40-foot Container: Based on a 40-foot shipping container, it has external dimensions of 12.192 meters in length × 2.438 meters in width × 2.591 meters in height, and internal dimensions of 12.032 meters in length × 2.352 meters in width × 2.393 meters in height, with a volume of approximately 67 cubic meters and a usable area of about 29.8 square meters. The space is more spacious, suitable for elongated layouts such as team dormitories, multi-room combined residences, or small conference rooms.
  3. 40-foot High Cube (40HC/HQ): It has external dimensions of 12.192 meters in length × 2.438 meters in width × 2.896 meters in height, and internal dimensions of 12.032 meters in length × 2.352 meters in width × 2.698 meters in height, with a volume of approximately 76 cubic meters. The height is increased by 30 centimeters compared to a standard container, with an internal clear height of up to 2.7 meters, avoiding a sense of oppression and suitable for residences, exhibition halls, and other scenarios with height requirements.

Common Customized Sizes

  1. Double-Decker Customized Container: Based on the height of a standard single-story container, a mezzanine design is added, with a total height of up to 5.18 meters, forming two levels of usable space and improving space utilization.
  2. Combined and Joined Containers: By joining containers, an elongated layout can be achieved, with common combinations such as 2×1 and 3×1 forms, and a maximum joined length of over 30 meters, adapting to different site requirements.
  3. Irregularly Shaped Design Containers: Special shapes such as sloped roofs and arcs are developed for mountainous and narrow sites, with heights adjustable within the range of 3-6 meters, enhancing terrain adaptability.
  4. Other Customized Sizes: Such as 6 meters in length × 3 meters in width × 2.8 meters in height, or 2.4×6 meters, 2.4×8 meters, 2.4×12 meters, etc., can be flexibly made according to customer needs.

Internal Space Configuration

  1. Partition Design: Using 50mm or 75mm thick color steel plate partitions to achieve functional divisions such as independent offices and bedrooms.
  2. Door and Window Specifications: Standard doors are 0.8-1.2 meters wide, and window sizes are mostly 0.6×0.9 meters or 1.2×1.5 meters, with some supporting sliding or outward-opening customization.
  3. Infrastructure: Hidden installation of water and electricity pipelines, reserved air conditioning unit positions and socket interfaces, with built-in standard ceiling, flooring, wires, lights, switches, sockets, and air conditioning-specific sockets. Some products can add power fuses/boxes.

Load-Bearing and Material Parameters

  1. Static Load Capacity: The ground load capacity of standard container houses is ≥200kg/㎡, and the floor load capacity of double-decker containers is ≥150kg/㎡.
  2. Material Thickness: Wall and roof panels are made of 0.3-0.5mm thick color steel plates, the frame uses 50×50mm square steel, and the connecting bolts are of M8-M10 specifications.
  3. Fire Rating: Compliant with the GB8624-2012 B1-level flame-retardant standard, with some products achieving an A-level fire rating, meeting the usage specifications for temporary buildings.
