Adding a Mobile Toilet Inside a Shop

Admin October 08, 2026

A mobile toilet can be installed inside a shop, but multiple factors such as product type, customization process, and procedure handling need to be considered comprehensively.

I. Types and Selection of Mobile Toilets Mobile toilets can be classified into various types based on their structural form and function, such as single-unit, modular, barrier-free, eco-friendly, and luxury models. Shops can choose according to their actual needs:

  • Space Adaptability: If the shop has limited space, single-unit or compact modular toilets are more suitable; for scenarios requiring multiple users, modular combinations can be selected.
  • Functional Requirements: Eco-friendly toilets (e.g., those using microbial degradation or foam sealing technology) are suitable for locations without sewer connections; luxury models enhance customer experience but come with higher costs.
  • Barrier-Free Design: If the shop caters to the elderly or disabled, barrier-free models should be chosen to comply with the "Barrier-Free Design Code."

II. Customization Process and Construction Points

  1. Requirement Communication: Clearly define dimensions, layout, door and window positions, electrical configurations, and exterior colors. The company provides a design plan based on site conditions.
  2. Production and Transportation: The production cycle is approximately 7-15 days, with complex plans potentially taking longer. Products are transported as a whole or in modular form, ensuring the shop entrance meets lifting requirements.
  3. On-Site Installation: The foundation must be level and sturdy. After lifting or assembling, connect water and electricity for immediate use. The steel structure main frame is paired with exterior materials like galvanized steel or stainless steel plates, with internal rock wool or polyurethane insulation. The floor is laid with anti-slip flooring and includes a waterproof layer to ensure durability and safety.

III. Procedure Handling and Compliance Installing a mobile toilet requires multiple procedures:

  • Pre-Approval: Obtain consent from the property management or landlord. Some areas require a construction permit; if fire exits are affected, fire department approval is needed.
  • Environmental Approval: Eco-friendly toilets must submit degradation technology descriptions and emission plans to ensure compliance with standards like the "Integrated Emission Standard of Air Pollutants."
  • Industry Approval: Specific industries such as catering or healthcare may require additional approvals, such as hygiene condition reviews attached to food business licenses.
  • Inspection and Filing: After construction, pass the completion inspection and file with relevant departments to ensure legal and compliant operation.

IV. Cost and Maintenance Costs include purchase/rental fees, transportation and installation fees, and ongoing maintenance expenses. Although eco-friendly toilets have higher initial costs, they save water and electricity in the long run. Regular cleaning, disinfection, and replacement of consumables (e.g., microbial strains) are crucial for maintaining hygiene and functionality.
