Mobile Toilets in Shanxi Scenic Spots
During the May Day holiday, the Jinci Scenic Spot in Shanxi implemented various measures to set up mobile toilets to cope with the peak tourist flow.

I. Temporary Renovation and Bus Mobile Toilets To alleviate the shortage of women's toilets, the Jinci Scenic Spot temporarily converted men's toilets into women's toilets. This adjustment was based on the reality that the number of female tourists increased significantly during the May Day holiday, leading to a more urgent demand for women's toilets. Meanwhile, on the basis of the existing restrooms at the entrance area of the Jinci Museum, a well-equipped and clean bus was allocated as a mobile men's toilet. This bus mobile restroom was parked in an area around the museum that did not affect tourist passage or the appearance of ancient buildings. As a supplement to the restrooms, it effectively increased the capacity of men's toilets and avoided inconveniences for tourists caused by a lack of toilets.
II. Scientific Placement of Mobile Public Toilets The Taiyuan Urban Management and Sanitation Department scientifically placed mobile public toilets in key areas, allocating one to the Jinci Museum and two to the Jinci Park. This model of "fixed public toilets + mobile supplements" not only retains the convenience of the original fixed public toilets but also allows for dynamic adjustments according to the actual tourist flow through the flexibility and mobility of the mobile public toilets, further improving the utilization efficiency of toilet resources.
III. Thorough Maintenance and Replenishment of Convenience Supplies To ensure the normal operation of the mobile public toilets and a comfortable experience for tourists, relevant departments conducted thorough maintenance on all mobile public toilets to ensure that the facilities were intact and functioning properly. At the same time, convenience supplies such as toilet paper and hand sanitizer were replenished, providing tourists with more considerate and thoughtful services. These measures effectively alleviated the shortage of women's toilets, resulting in a significant increase in the average daily reception capacity of restrooms in the area from about 3,000 person-times to 5,000 person-times, greatly improving tourist satisfaction and the service quality of the scenic spot.
