Mobile Toilets on Shantou Nanbin Road
During the 2024 Shantou Spring Festival Grand Fireworks Show, a total of 100 mobile toilets were set up along Nanbin Road, distributed across 10 locations, with 10 mobile toilets at each location.

Distribution and Quantity of Mobile Toilets
From Tiantan Garden to Yueshui Bay along Nanbin Road, there are 10 mobile toilet locations in total, with 10 mobile toilets placed at each location, amounting to 100 units in total. This arrangement covers the core areas with high pedestrian traffic during the fireworks show, ensuring that citizens and tourists can quickly find toilet facilities while enjoying the event.
Background and Purpose of the Increased Quantity
Compared to the Spring Festival fireworks show in 2023, the number of mobile toilets in 2024 has significantly increased. This adjustment is primarily based on two considerations:
- Increased Demand: As an important cultural event in Shantou, participation in the fireworks show has been increasing year by year. It is expected that the number of attendees will further expand in 2024, making the existing facilities insufficient to meet actual needs.
- Service Optimization: By adding more mobile toilets, waiting times can be reduced, enhancing the experience for citizens and tourists. At the same time, it helps avoid disorder caused by toilet-related issues, ensuring the safety and orderly conduct of the event.
Configuration Features of Mobile Toilets
- Standardized Layout: Each location is uniformly equipped with 10 mobile toilets, ensuring coverage while facilitating centralized management.
- Comprehensive Functions: Mobile toilets are typically equipped with independent squatting stalls, sinks, lighting, and other facilities. Some locations may also include barrier-free restrooms to accommodate different groups of people.
- Temporary Flexibility: After the event, mobile toilets can be quickly removed, restoring the road to its original state and avoiding long-term occupation of public space.
Practical Significance
The addition of mobile toilets reflects the organizers' emphasis on public services. By scientifically planning the locations and quantity, it effectively alleviates the toilet shortage during large-scale events, providing convenience for citizens and tourists and demonstrating the精细化 (meticulous) level of urban management.
