Shanghai Mobile Toilet Emergency Support
Shanghai's mobile toilets have played a crucial role in emergency support, specifically in park renovations, epidemic prevention and control, as well as adapting to large-scale events and emergency scenarios.

During park renovations, mobile toilets effectively alleviate the inconvenience of visitors finding restrooms. Taking the comprehensive water environment improvement project at Binjiang Forest Park as an example, the park authorities, considering the reduction in restroom service points during the renovation, which might cause difficulties for visitors, procured three mobile toilets in advance and placed them in high-traffic areas such as parking lots, cherry blossom lawns, and around children's playgrounds. This measure fully considered the actual needs of visitors, effectively relieved the restroom pressure caused by the renovation, and ensured the normal living needs of visitors during their park visits.
During the epidemic prevention and control period, mobile toilets also played a key role in emergency support. The environmental sanitation management department in Hongkou District actively coordinated to set up mobile public toilets in different areas. For instance, four single-unit mobile public toilets were installed on Xibaoxing Road for Guangzhong Subdistrict, two on Guangyue Road for the supply point, and eight mobile shower rooms and one mobile toilet were installed to support the construction of the Fangcang hospital on Guangzhong Road. The timely installation of these mobile facilities ensured the restroom and showering needs of frontline personnel, providing strong support for epidemic prevention and control efforts and demonstrating the importance and flexibility of mobile toilets during special periods.
Additionally, Shanghai's mobile toilet rental market offers various types of mobile toilets to meet the needs of different emergency scenarios. For large-scale events such as concerts, marathons, and exhibitions, vehicle-mounted mobile toilets can be prioritized, equipped with advanced facilities like smart toilets, central air conditioning, and fresh air systems to handle high-volume restroom demands. For cultural tourism attractions or temporary support points, water-saving prefabricated mobile toilets can be prioritized, with some models integrating solar lighting and smart sensors, supporting short-term rentals to long-term management, providing diverse choices for different scenarios and further enhancing the adaptability and practicality of mobile toilets in emergency support.
