Self-made Stainless Steel Mobile Toilet

Admin October 09, 2026

The self-made stainless steel mobile toilet can be constructed following these steps:

Design and Planning
Determine the size, structure, and functional layout of the toilet based on the actual usage scenario (such as outdoor events or temporary construction sites). For example, for a single-person toilet, a recommended size is 1.2m × 1.2m × 2.2m (length × width × height). Plan the positions of the toilet, sink, ventilation opening, etc., and reserve space for pipes and wiring.

Material Selection and Processing

  • Base Material: Select 304 stainless steel plate (thickness 1.5-2mm), which is corrosion-resistant and waterproof. The material should undergo spectral analysis to confirm that its composition meets standards, and its surface should be flat and scratch-free.
  • Cutting and Shaping:
    • Use a laser cutting machine to cut the stainless steel plate into four wall panels, one door panel, one floor panel, and one ceiling panel. The door panel should have a reserved hole for the lock installation, and a rectangular window should be cut in the upper part of the wall panel opposite the door for installing a glass window.
    • Alternatively, a traditional method can be used: Cut the stainless steel plate into rectangles of the same size for the walls, cut a small rectangle separately for the door panel, and open a window in the corresponding wall panel.

Assembly and Installation

  • Frame Welding: Weld a bottom frame using square steel (e.g., 40mm × 40mm) to ensure load-bearing capacity. Connect the frame to the wall panels using argon arc welding, and grind the welds smooth to prevent rusting.
  • External Structure: Weld the cut panels into a whole, install the door hinges and lock, and seal and fix the glass window with waterproof glue.
  • Pipe Connection: Connect water and electricity from the outside. Lead the water pipe to beside the toilet and install a faucet. Lead the electrical wire from the top and install a splash-proof socket. Reserve a slope (recommended 3%-5%) for the sewage pipe to prevent blockage.

Internal Facility Integration

  • Sanitary Ware: Select a water-saving squat toilet or sit toilet. The sink should be made of stainless steel and equipped with a sensor faucet to reduce contact contamination.
  • Sewage System:
    • Packing type: Place a sewage collection box in the bottom interlayer, align the toilet's sewage outlet with the collection box, and regularly replace the garbage bags.
    • Biodegradable type: Install a microbial treatment device to decompose excrement into harmless substances. Regularly add microbial strains.
  • Auxiliary Facilities: Install a forced ventilation system (power ≥ 50W) on the top, add safety handrails on the walls, use waterproof materials for mirrors and hooks, and use LED lights (brightness ≥ 300lux) for lighting.

Decoration and Accessories
The floor and walls can be laid with anti-slip stainless steel plates or PVC flooring. Install an integrated ceiling on the ceiling to hide the pipes. Spray anti-rust paint on the exterior, and choose the color according to the environment (e.g., green or gray for outdoor use).

Mobility Setup
Install universal wheels (diameter ≥ 150mm) at the four corners of the frame and equip them with brake devices to ensure stability. The wheels should be fixed with bolts, and their load-bearing capacity should be greater than the total weight of the toilet (recommended ≥ 500kg).
