Rural Prefabricated Two-Story House Assembly

Admin September 18, 2026

Rural prefabricated two-story house assembly involves constructing standardized rural houses using prefabricated technology, characterized by time and labor savings, policy support, and widespread market adoption.

Construction Methods and Advantages

Rural prefabricated two-story house assembly employs prefabricated construction techniques, where components such as walls, floors, roofs, and stairs are manufactured in factories and then transported to the site for rapid assembly using bolts, welding, or mortise-and-tenon joints. Taking Hebei Province as an example, these houses are suitable for one- to two-story residential buildings. The construction period is reduced by 30%-50% compared to traditional methods, and due to factory-produced components, quality stability is higher, with significantly improved winter insulation and summer heat resistance, offering greater living comfort than traditional brick-and-mortar structures.

Policy Support and Subsidies

Hebei Province pioneered the pilot program for prefabricated rural houses in 2022, with the provincial finance providing a universal subsidy of 10,000 yuan per household for newly built houses. The entire process of application, verification, and claim submission is handled online through the "Yunongtong" APP. At the local level, Cangzhou City offers an additional subsidy of 5,000 yuan for households included in flood reconstruction tasks, while general households still receive the 10,000 yuan subsidy. As of 2025, a cumulative total of 20,000 households across the province have participated in the pilot, with 45 counties (cities, districts) achieving full township coverage. From the start of spring 2025 to the present, an additional 2,717 households have commenced construction, demonstrating a significant policy-driven effect.

Market Promotion and Application

Hebei promotes the popularization of prefabricated rural houses through a "government-guided + enterprise-participated" model. The housing and construction department in Cangzhou City distributes illustrated "information cards," posts promotional posters, and organizes site visits to lower farmers' cognitive barriers. Design, construction, and component manufacturing enterprises form a collaborative industrial chain, offering one-stop services from design to installation. In 2025, 2,515 households in Cangzhou City chose this construction method, with market acceptance continuously rising as farmers shift from "观望 (hesitation/观望态度)" to actively "尝鲜 (trying out new things)."

Applicability and Limitations

These houses are only suitable for low-rise residential buildings (one to two stories) and have certain requirements for geological conditions and transportation routes (to ensure the delivery of large components). Additionally, although initial construction costs are reduced due to subsidies and shorter construction periods, farmers need to adapt to factory-based production models, and any personalized design requirements must be communicated in advance with the manufacturing enterprises.
