Roundup: New Urban Landmarks — Container Creative Parks & Container Tribes (Part 2)
- Shenyang · Rong IN·BOX Container Town
Rong IN·BOX Container Town sits opposite the main gate of Shenyang Heping Cup World Football Park. Built with energy-saving, eco-friendly container materials, it is a multi-format culture-commerce-tourism town that mixes influencer hotspots, esports experiences, street shows, themed dining, children's entertainment, shared offices, themed homestays, specialty snacks, and a drive-in cinema—giving residents a fresh place to escape concrete and enjoy body and mind.
More than 200 containers are stacked creatively across 11,806 sqm, forming what is billed as the nation's first container commercial town. As the first culture-commerce-tourism fusion project in Shenyang's viral Manrong district, Rong IN·BOX shapes experience through spatial planning, program mix, and a series of events.
The town has three function zones: Wingspan Lively Market, Box Encounter Plaza, and Listen-to-the-Wind Wilderness Homestay. Tenants are fully in place, covering upgraded needs for dining, play, and lodging. Some brands have opened Northeast China's first official influencer container concept stores, using custom boxes to build brand image.

- Nanning · Jiafeng Cultural Creative Industry Park
Project address: 38 Beihu Road Project name: Jiafeng Cultural Creative Industry Park
With strong support from Nanning municipal departments at all levels, Jiafeng Cultural Creative Park was invested and built by Guangxi Guijian Group. Total investment is USD $13,888,889; the site covers 150 mu and is developed in three phases, aiming to become Guangxi's leading innovation center for culture and tourism industries. It is China's first youth creative industry park centered on "Internet+" and "cultural-creative entrepreneurship," driving upgrades of local traditional services by bringing in cultural hotel value chains, cultural dining, cultural tourism, and anime/otaku industries.
Fashion cubes, colorful containers, cultural graffiti, new steel structure and red brick… After more than a year of intensive renovation, the former Jiafeng liquor wholesale market at 38 Beihu Road has transformed into a new trendy, diverse influencer check-in spot in urban Nanning.
"Innovation Cube" is a public sculpture created by the park itself. Six meters high on a red-brick base, its stainless-steel body arranges three sets of text across six faces—different sizes and colors, crafted with care—expressing the park's innovative, diverse building ideas and business model. The three text sets total thirty keywords that capture Jiafeng's core vision.

- Changzhou Green Building Expo Park
Jiangsu Green Building Expo Park in Wujin District, Changzhou, was named by the Jiangsu Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development as China's first green-building theme park—a campus that showcases green technology and ideas. Using sponge-city systems, building-integrated solar, and more, it aims for a near-zero-carbon demonstration zone and has become a "calling card" for green building in Jiangsu. The expo area covers about 15.6 sq km and is the first—and so far only—green building industry cluster demonstration zone authorized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. The visitor center uses modular construction, answering the national call for green buildings. For energy saving, every demonstration project on site is prefabricated assembly: average assembly rate 60%, with single buildings reaching 100%.
There are 14 distinctive green buildings. For group tours or individual visits, the biggest draw is Jilvge Service Center—a roadside building stacked like colorful "building blocks." Those "colored blocks" are containers in different hues: the whole structure joins 59 boxes. This three-story building covers 2,363 sqm. Floor 1 holds the reception hall plus meeting rooms, restaurant, kitchen, and utility spaces. Floor 2 has lounges and guest rooms (capsule hotel, SOHO, Japanese rooms, and suites). Floor 3 is offices.

- "239PARK" Streetfront Container Fashion District
The "239" specialty district draws on old factories from the high-tech zone's founding thirty years ago—239 Ice Block, Paper Machine Felt, Luwei Industry, and Wuzhou Haote—to convert old and new momentum into an international consumer street that lifts the city's distinctive image. It highlights plural cultures, mixing dining, bars, art, and entertainment, and creates creative facade spaces such as the signature container "239PARK," Ronghuali, Tongxichuan, and Ronghuatang.
Newly built streetfront container buildings at "239PARK" cover about 7,800 sqm. The overall look is modern; new zones use frame structures with a clean, simple facade language. Besides black-and-white schemes, some exteriors wear bright colors. Bold, high-contrast facade packaging makes the whole district feel more contemporary.
The tallest in the container cluster is three stories; individual boxes are staggered and "spliced" together. Per the design, large glass increases interaction between the street and the outside, and partial voids add modern fashion to each volume. Interiors weave in maritime culture for a fresh feel.

- Chongming Island Flower Expo
Container buildings at the Flower Expo park were completed to serve as convenience stores, restrooms, information desks, police posts, drink shops, and casual eateries after opening. Designers followed the Expo theme "Blooming Chinese Dream" and the requirements of eco-friendly, innovative, thrifty hosting—keeping supporting buildings focused on dining service and operations support, with green goals first.

Containers are the building element. Using dispersed placement and flexible comfort, each cluster becomes a "honeycomb" scattered among abundant blossoms—creating a high-appeal check-in place where architecture and environment coexist. Waterside tea room + food plaza + exhibition hall + waterfront deck: 8,208 sqm across 456 boxes. Colorful containers and the vast "flower sea" complement each other.

- IT Software Grand Alliance Container Park
IT Software Grand Alliance Container Park sits south of Yangzhou Road and west of Wuzhou Road in Hailing District. Funded by Chengxi Asset Management Company, it covers 5,000 sqm, with 760 sqm of box area from 32 containers on three floors. After completion, it has drawn high-tech innovation firms, local game and graphic design studios, internet companies, a university student startup incubator, and entrepreneurship training bases. Convenience stores, snack shops, shared meeting spaces, and other support services are also rolling in—building an innovation demo park that unites work, leisure, and entertainment.
