Qiantang View Mobile Toilet
The Qiantang View Mobile Toilet is a movable scenic public restroom located at the intersection of Qianchao Road and Sanxin Road on the Qiantang River embankment in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. It opened on June 29, 2019.
Basic Information: The Qiantang View Mobile Toilet is the first movable scenic public restroom in Hangzhou. It was introduced from Xiamen and jointly built by the Jianggan District Urban Management Bureau, under the guidance of the Hangzhou Municipal Urban Management Bureau, in collaboration with the Sijiqing Subdistrict. The toilet is manufactured in its entirety at a factory and then transported to the site for hoisting and installation. Once connected to utilities, it is ready for use. This construction method allows for point adjustments based on actual needs in the later stages, effectively saving on construction costs.
Facilities and Functions: The mobile toilet is equipped with complete sanitary facilities, including urinals, squat toilets, and sinks, meeting people's basic usage requirements. Additionally, it features some intelligent functions, such as playing music when the door is closed to create a relatively comfortable environment for users; automatic flushing when the door is opened, enhancing convenience; and deodorization and sterilization functions to ensure fresh air and hygiene inside the toilet.
Opening Hours and Surrounding Signage: During the pilot period, the Qiantang View Mobile Toilet is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., facilitating the use of surrounding residents and tourists. Moreover, there are signs around the public restroom to help people find it easily.
Rental and Future Plans: There is information suggesting that a scenic mobile toilet by the Qiantang River has a daily rental fee of 54 yuan, but it is uncertain whether this specifically refers to this toilet. Based on the pilot results, relevant departments plan to add more mobile public restrooms near the Qiantang River embankment to further enhance public service levels in the area.
Other Related Toilets: There is a "Best View Mountain-top Toilet" in Siwuling, Yiqiao, Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the confluence of the Qiantang River, Puyang River, and Fuchun River. Some tourists specifically visit to take photos, but this toilet does not fall under the category of the Qiantang View Mobile Toilet.
