Public Toilet Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

Public toilet mobile toilets are facilities that can be moved as a whole and provide toilet services to the public. They are suitable for a variety of locations and come in multiple types with distinct features.

Suitable Locations: Public toilet mobile toilets are applicable in stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. These locations often have temporary or phased demands for toilets, or it is relatively difficult to build fixed public toilets. Mobile toilets can effectively make up for the shortcomings of insufficient public toilet supply and unreasonable layout. For example, in 2023, the Lanzhou Yellow River Scenic Area successively installed and put into use mobile toilets.

Composition Structure: They are generally composed of fecal sewage storage tanks (or fecal sewage treatment devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. With development, there have also emerged compact and intelligent eco-friendly mobile public toilets. These are fully equipped with internal fecal collection systems, hand-washing basins, smart mirrors, breathing lights, etc., and can be used immediately after being manufactured as a whole in the factory. Some mobile intelligent eco-friendly public toilets have unique shapes, such as a white apple shape, and are equipped with large displays, air conditioners, fresh air systems, intelligent disinfection, and intelligent sensor flushing systems.

Type Classification: According to the structural form, they can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets; according to the moving method, they can be divided into hoisting and handling mobile toilets, and powered and towed mobile toilets; according to the sewage treatment method, they can be divided into water-flushing and waterless suction mobile toilets, circulating water-flushing mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets.

Development History and Characteristics: Initially, mobile toilets were made of materials such as wood, with simple structures and functions, and were prone to absorbing odors. Later, they gradually developed to use materials such as fiberglass and polyethylene. Their characteristics include the ability to be conveniently transported to any location where toilets need to be set up and can be used repeatedly. They have the advantages of being movable, combinable, and easy to transport. The design of mobile toilets should follow the principles of being easy to move, economically durable; eco-friendly and beneficial to the environment; improving efficiency, and promoting humanitarianism.
