Public Toilet Mobile Sanitation

Admin October 06, 2026

Mobile restrooms, also known as mobile toilets, are facilities that can be moved as a whole and provide toilet services to the public. The following is a detailed introduction from the aspects of composition, classification, advantages, application scenarios, and design principles:

Composition: Mobile toilets are generally composed of fecal sewage storage tanks (or fecal sewage treatment devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. Their materials have continuously evolved, starting from the initial wood and gradually developing to use fiberglass-reinforced plastic, polyethylene, etc. The frames are welded with national standard steel, and the surfaces are covered with anti-corrosion and fire-resistant materials such as color-coated steel plates or carved panels. The exterior wall materials can also be selected according to needs or the environment, including color-coated steel plates, metal carved panels, anti-corrosion wood, stainless steel plates, and aluminum-plastic panels, with a service life of up to 15 - 20 years or more.

Classification: According to the structural form, they can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets; according to the mobile method, they can be divided into hoisting and handling mobile toilets, and powered and towed mobile toilets; according to the sewage treatment method, they can be divided into water-flushing and waterless suction mobile toilets, circulating water-flushing mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets.

Advantages: They have the characteristics of being movable, combinable, and easy to transport, allowing them to be conveniently transported to any place where toilets need to be set up and can be used repeatedly.

Application Scenarios: They have a wide range of application scenarios and are suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential areas, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets.

Design Principles: They follow the principles of being mobile and convenient, economical and durable; environmentally friendly and beneficial to the environment; improving efficiency and promoting humanity. The overall structure should be considered lightweight, using lightweight and durable materials as much as possible, with a sturdy structure. When designing, the height and width of the toilet should also be controlled, and the mobile device should be fully considered for completeness and rationality. For example, an independent toilet pit partition treatment system is configured inside, the urine channel uses gravity self-flow, the feces channel is cleaned by a piston-type scraper mechanical device, and it is equipped with anti-slip floors, automatic flushing toilet bowls, and ventilation and lighting systems.
