Public Mobile Toilet Production

Admin September 26, 2026

The production of public mobile toilets requires a combination of professional design and practical needs. Currently, there is a lack of complete production plans in publicly available materials, but a basic framework can be referenced based on the idea of modifying water storage tanks.

1. Core Functional Requirements Analysis

Public mobile toilets must meet three core functions: waste collection, ventilation and odor control, and mobility. Design considerations should include the user traffic, frequency of use, and environmental conditions (such as the availability of water and electricity) of the intended locations (e.g., construction sites, tourist attractions). For example, temporary sites without access to water and electricity should adopt a waterless flushing design, relying on biological degradation or fecal storage tanks; sites with water and electricity can be designed as water-saving flushing toilets, equipped with small septic tanks or directly connected to municipal sewage networks.

2. Basic Structure and Material Selection

  1. Main Frame:

    • Prioritize the use of lightweight yet high-strength materials, such as aluminum alloy or galvanized steel pipes, to ensure structural stability and ease of overall transportation.
    • The bottom should be equipped with lockable universal wheels, with a recommended diameter of no less than 15 centimeters, to adapt to different ground surfaces (such as muddy ground or stone-paved roads).
  2. Enclosure Structure:

    • The exterior walls should use waterproof and corrosion-resistant panels (such as PVC panels or fiberglass), while the interior walls should use easy-to-clean materials (such as stainless steel or mold-resistant paint) to reduce odor retention.
    • Doors and windows should be equipped with seals to prevent rainwater infiltration while ensuring ventilation.
  3. Waste Treatment System:

    • Waterless Type: Based on the idea of modifying water storage tanks, use a double-layer sealed fecal storage tank, with the upper layer serving as the toilet interface and the lower layer as the fecal storage space, equipped with handles for easy regular cleaning.
    • Water-Saving Type: Install a mini septic tank (recommended volume ≥ 0.5 cubic meters) to separate solids and liquids by gravity, with the liquid able to be discharged after simple treatment.

3. Key Detail Design

  1. Ventilation System:

    • Install an exhaust fan (recommended power of 50-100W) on the top, combined with an activated carbon filter to reduce odor diffusion.
    • Open louvers on the side walls to utilize natural convection for auxiliary ventilation.
  2. Lighting and Power Supply:

    • Equip the interior with LED energy-saving lights, powered by an external mobile power source or solar panels (suitable for outdoor scenarios).
    • Switches should adopt a waterproof design to avoid the risk of electric shock.
  3. Humanized Design:

    • The recommended height of the toilet is 40-45 centimeters, in line with ergonomic principles;
    • Install handrails and anti-slip mats inside to enhance safety;
    • Post usage instructions and emergency contact numbers outside for easy maintenance and management.

4. Precautions

  • Before production, confirm local environmental protection requirements, such as the need for regular cleaning and compliant disposal of fecal matter from storage tanks;
  • The weight of the mobile toilet is recommended to be controlled within 300 kilograms to avoid difficulties in transportation;
  • For long-term use scenarios, equip with a backup power source and emergency drainage device to prevent sudden failures.

If you lack professional production experience, it is recommended to directly purchase finished mobile toilets (priced approximately between 5,000 and 20,000 yuan) or contact manufacturers to customize models that meet your needs.
