Wiring in a Prefabricated Slab House After Completion

Admin September 19, 2026

After the construction of a prefabricated slab house is completed, wiring can be carried out using the following methods:

Utilizing the ceiling space: If the house has a ceiling, the space inside the ceiling is an ideal location for laying electrical wires. The ceiling has a certain amount of space that can accommodate wire conduits without damaging the structure of the prefabricated floor slab. During the installation process, ensure that the wire conduits are firmly fixed to prevent the wires from moving randomly, as movement can cause wear on the wire insulation, leading to safety hazards such as electric leakage. At the same time, ensure that the wires have good insulation performance to avoid short circuits caused by insulation damage.

Grooving in the wall: Grooving in the wall for wire installation is suitable for connecting wires between different indoor locations. When grooving, try to avoid damaging the wall structure, especially load-bearing walls or the connection parts between the prefabricated floor slab and the wall. These parts play a crucial role in the overall structural stability of the house, and damage can affect the safety of the house. Before grooving, fully understand the wall structure, ensure that the grooves are flat, and promptly fill the grooves and repair the wall surface after grooving to maintain the aesthetics and integrity of the wall.

Using the hollow pipes inside the prefabricated slabs: If the prefabricated slabs have built-in hollow pipes that lead directly through, sheathed wires can be placed inside these hollow pipes to complete the concealed wiring layout on the roof. This method makes full use of the structural characteristics of the prefabricated slabs themselves, eliminating the need for additional damage to the floor slab, reducing construction difficulty, and minimizing the impact on the house structure.

Concealed wiring in the floor leveling layer above the prefabricated slabs: Add galvanized steel wire conduits, with concealed wires passing through them. The wire conduits are concealed in the floor leveling layer above the prefabricated slabs. According to construction specifications, the wire conduits should not be chiseled through the middle of the prefabricated slabs to avoid damaging the floor slab structure and affecting the safety performance of the house. At the same time, the wire conduits concealed in the floor must be welded to the grounding grid and connected to the equipotential bonding box on the same floor to ensure electrical safety and prevent electric shock accidents.

Accurately locating the positions of junction boxes and paying attention to the positions of steel bars: Accurately locate the positions of junction boxes in advance and chisel corresponding installation holes in the floor slab after confirmation to avoid randomly chiseling and damaging the floor slab structure. When laying the conduits, pay attention to the positions of the steel bars inside the slab, as steel bars are an important part of the load-bearing capacity of the prefabricated slabs. Chiseling through the steel bars can seriously affect the load-bearing safety of the prefabricated slabs and thus threaten the structural safety of the entire house.
