What is the Bearing Capacity of Prefabricated Slab Houses
The bearing capacity of prefabricated slab houses does not have a fixed value and is influenced by various factors such as national standard grades, materials, and types, generally ranging from 200 to 2000 kilograms per square meter.

Classification by national standard grades: Grade I slabs have a bearing load capacity of 400 kilograms per square meter, Grade II slabs have a bearing load capacity of 700 kilograms per square meter, and Grade III slabs have a bearing load capacity of 1000 kilograms per square meter. Generally, residential buildings often use Grade I and Grade II slabs to meet daily living needs.
Classification by materials: The bearing capacities of prefabricated slabs made of different materials vary significantly. Concrete prefabricated slabs generally have a bearing load capacity exceeding 10 tons per square meter; reinforced concrete prefabricated slabs usually have a bearing capacity of over 15 tons per square meter; cement fiber prefabricated slabs generally have a bearing capacity of 8 to 12 tons per square meter; and prestressed concrete prefabricated slabs have a bearing capacity of approximately 15 to 20 tons per square meter.
Classification by types: Common concrete hollow slabs have a national standard bearing capacity of 200 to 250 kilograms per square meter; solid prefabricated slabs can bear 250 to 300 kilograms per square meter. Solid slabs produced by large factories with sufficient reinforcement and high concrete grades (C30 and above) can have an even higher bearing capacity, reaching 300 kilograms per square meter. Prestressed prefabricated slabs with a span of less than 3 meters can bear 300 to 400 kilograms per square meter, while those with a span of more than 4 meters can maintain a bearing capacity of 250 to 300 kilograms per square meter.
Other common situations: Ordinary concrete prefabricated slabs can generally bear a maximum load of about 500 kilograms per square meter. National standards stipulate that residential floor slabs must be able to bear at least 200 kilograms of live load. In reality, considering the self-weight of the floor slab, the total bearing capacity can reach about 760 kilograms. The bearing capacity of cement prefabricated slabs is usually 200 to 500 kilograms per square meter. The design load for prefabricated slabs used in ordinary residential buildings is 200 kilograms per square meter, while those used for commercial or industrial purposes can have a bearing capacity of up to 500 kilograms per square meter.
