Prefabricated Insulated Housing Finished Product Standards

Admin September 18, 2026

The standards for finished products of prefabricated insulated housing cover three core aspects: materials, construction, and acceptance, and must comply with national general requirements and local standards.

Material Selection Standards

The performance of insulation materials must strictly meet design requirements and relevant product standards. Key indicators such as thermal conductivity, density, and compressive strength must meet the standards to ensure that the materials possess basic insulation performance and structural stability. Quality proof documents such as certificates of conformity and test reports must be provided for the materials. Upon arrival at the site, visual inspections should be conducted to verify specifications, models, and quantities. For important insulation materials (such as polystyrene boards and rock wool boards), re-inspections should be carried out according to regulations upon arrival. Inspection items include combustion performance and water absorption rate to ensure reliable material quality.

Construction Specification Standards

Before construction, ensure that the base layer is flat, dry, and free from contaminants such as oil stains to provide a good foundation for the insulation layer construction. The construction of the insulation layer must strictly follow design drawings and relevant technical specifications, such as the "Standard for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Energy Efficiency Projects" (GB 50411 - 2019) and the "Technical Standard for External Wall Insulation Engineering" (JGJ 144 - 2019). Quality inspections should be carried out in stages during the construction process, and concealed works (such as the installation of anchors and the laying of mesh cloth) should be promptly inspected and recorded. The insulation materials should be laid flat and tightly, avoiding gaps or looseness. The thickness should meet design requirements and be uniform, which can be measured and recorded using methods such as needle puncture, section inspection, or steel needle insertion. In addition, different regions may have detailed requirements for construction techniques. For example, Sichuan Province's "DBJ51/T111-2019" provides specific specifications for the treatment of joint seams of prefabricated self-insulating concrete exterior wall panels, while Beijing's "DB11/T 2128-2023" makes clear provisions for the design of connection nodes of sandwich insulation exterior wall panels.

Acceptance Requirement Standards

After the completion of the insulation project, comprehensive inspections should be carried out by professionals in accordance with relevant standards. Acceptance items include the appearance of the insulation layer (no cracks, hollowing, or peeling), thickness (allowable deviation of ±5%), density, thermal conductivity, etc., which should be confirmed through on-site sampling inspections or instrument measurements. A detailed report should be issued after acceptance as an important basis for the completion acceptance of the project. Some regions may add additional acceptance items, such as air tightness tests or thermal performance simulation analyses, to ensure that the overall energy-saving effect of the house meets design requirements.
