National Standards for Prefabricated Housing Products

Admin September 18, 2026

The national standards related to prefabricated housing products mainly include the following three items:

1. Performance Standards for Buildings - Performance Tests of Prefabricated Concrete Floor Slabs under Concentrated Load Conditions
The standard number is GB/T 24497-2009, which is identical to the international standard ISO 9883:1993. This standard focuses on the performance test methods for prefabricated concrete floor slabs under concentrated loads. By simulating the load conditions in actual use scenarios, it evaluates key indicators such as the load-bearing capacity, deformation characteristics, and crack resistance of the floor slabs. Its core purpose is to provide a scientific basis for the design, production, and acceptance of prefabricated concrete floor slabs, ensuring their safety and durability in building structures. As an international standard conversion result, this standard aligns with international practices in terms of test methods and parameter settings, and is applicable to the performance evaluation of buildings using prefabricated concrete floor slabs.

2. General Technical Conditions for Prefabricated Components Used in Prefabricated Concrete Buildings
The standard number is GB/T 40399-2021, managed by the National Concrete Standardization Technical Committee and supervised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. This standard is a fundamental specification in the field of prefabricated concrete buildings, covering technical indicators throughout the entire lifecycle of prefabricated components, including raw materials, production processes, dimensional deviations, mechanical properties, durability, and installation requirements. Its scope of application includes various prefabricated concrete components such as wall panels, floor slabs, and stairs, emphasizing the versatility and interchangeability of components. It aims to promote standardized design, factory-based production, and assembly-based construction of prefabricated buildings, improving project quality and efficiency. As a current standard, it provides a unified technical language and quality benchmark for the industry.

3. Prefabricated Concrete Base Plates for Composite Slabs
The standard number is GB/T 16727-2025, supervised and managed by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. This standard specifies requirements for the material properties, structural configurations, production precision, and inspection rules of prefabricated concrete base plates for composite slabs, which are widely used components in prefabricated buildings. Composite slabs are composed of prefabricated base plates and cast-in-place concrete layers, and the quality of the prefabricated base plates directly affects the overall performance of the composite structure. By refining indicators such as the thickness deviation of the base plates, the thickness of the steel reinforcement cover, and the positional accuracy of embedded parts, this standard ensures the convenience of composite slabs during the construction phase and their reliability during the use phase, providing technical guarantees for the structural safety of prefabricated buildings.

These three standards collectively form the core framework of the national standard system for prefabricated housing products from the dimensions of test methods, general technical conditions, and specific component requirements, providing crucial support for the standardized development of the industry.
