Prefabricated House Roof Panel Size

Admin September 18, 2026

The common sizes of prefabricated roof panels (prefabricated slabs) for houses are as follows:

Span: The maximum span of prefabricated slabs for residential use is typically 4.2 meters. This size does not require customization and can be directly purchased and used. If the project requires a span exceeding 4.2 meters, it is necessary to contact the manufacturer for custom production to meet specific span requirements. The choice of span should be based on the building structure's load and design specifications to avoid insufficient load-bearing capacity due to excessive span.

Width: The主流 (mainstream) widths of prefabricated slabs are 500mm and 600mm, which are suitable for most residential building needs. Additionally, there are special width types such as four-hole 400mm and five-hole 500mm, which are designed for specific structural layouts or load distribution scenarios and should be selected based on actual project conditions.

Thickness: The common thicknesses of prefabricated slabs are 120mm and 150mm. Among them, 120mm is the standard thickness, suitable for general residential floors; if pipes such as water pipes and electrical wires need to be embedded in the slab, a thickness of 150mm should be chosen to ensure space for pipe laying and structural safety. The choice of thickness should comprehensively consider load requirements and pipe layout needs.

Length: The length of prefabricated slabs usually increases in increments of 300mm, with common specifications including 3000mm, 3300mm, 3600mm, 3900mm, and 4200mm. Additionally, there are non-standard lengths such as 3800mm and 4000mm, but the production feasibility of these sizes should be confirmed with the manufacturer in advance. The maximum length of prefabricated slabs for ordinary residential use is 4200mm, and customization is required for lengths exceeding this.

Live Load Rating: Prefabricated slabs are classified into different grades based on their ability to withstand live loads. Generally, residential buildings commonly use Grade 1 slabs (withstanding a live load of 1kN/m²) and Grade 2 slabs (withstanding a live load of 2kN/m²), which are suitable for ordinary residential scenarios. Due to special geological and climatic conditions in the southwest region, the minimum use of Grade 4 slabs (withstanding a live load of 4kN/m²) is specified to ensure structural safety. The choice of load rating should strictly adhere to local building codes and design requirements.

The selection of prefabricated slab sizes should comprehensively consider factors such as building function, load requirements, pipe layout, and regional specifications. It is recommended to fully communicate with structural engineers during the design phase to ensure that size parameters meet safety and economic requirements.
