Prefabricated House Installation Guide

Admin September 18, 2026

The installation of prefabricated houses typically involves six steps: site preparation, foundation treatment, component transportation, component installation, interior decoration, and commissioning and acceptance. Details are as follows:

Site Preparation: First, ensure that the site is level and firm, removing debris and obstacles. Measure and set out the site according to design requirements to accurately determine the position and dimensions of the house. If the site's geological conditions are not ideal, special foundation treatments such as pouring concrete foundations or piling are required to ensure sufficient load-bearing capacity and stability of the foundation, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction.

Foundation Treatment: Carry out foundation treatment work at the selected location, pouring necessary foundation structures such as concrete pedestals or strip foundations. This step is crucial and directly related to the stability and safety of the house. At the same time, measure and adjust the dimensions and elevations of each position strictly according to the design drawings to ensure that the installation accuracy and quality meet requirements.

Component Transportation: Use appropriate transportation vehicles to transport prefabricated components to the installation site. During transportation, components must be properly secured and protected to prevent collisions, deformation, or damage, ensuring the integrity and quality of the components.

Component Installation:

  • Preparation Stage: Before installation, carefully check whether the dimensions, specifications, and strength of all prefabricated components meet design requirements. At the same time, verify that the reserved sleeves and rebars are consistent with the design drawings to prepare for subsequent connection work. Additionally, it is essential to prepare necessary materials such as cement mortar and tools such as lifting equipment.
  • Lifting and Connection: Position and assemble each component, such as columns, beams, and slabs, in a sequential manner. Bolt connections or sleeve grouting methods can be used to enhance the overall structural stability and ensure compliance with building codes. When filling gaps between walls, use sealing materials to prevent water leakage and other issues. During installation, use measuring tools to monitor and adjust in real-time to ensure that component dimensions and positions meet requirements.

Interior Decoration: After completing component installation, carry out wall painting, floor laying, ceiling installation, and other work. At the same time, install and debug water and electricity lines to ensure that all facilities operate normally.

Commissioning and Acceptance: Conduct a comprehensive inspection and commissioning of the entire house to check whether the installation is firm, whether the connection points are well-sealed, and whether all functions are normal. Only after all indicators meet the standards can the house be delivered for use.
