Prefabricated House Finished Stairs

Admin September 18, 2026

Prefabricated house finished stairs are a commonly used stair form in prefabricated buildings and duplex/loft units, characterized by standardized production, convenient installation, and stable quality. They can be divided into two categories: prefabricated stairs for prefabricated buildings and customized finished stairs.

Prefabricated Stairs for Prefabricated Buildings

These stairs are produced industrially in component factories using fixed-mold casting techniques, integrating handrail embedments, anti-slip strips, drip lines, and other structural elements with the stair body in a single molding process, reducing on-site secondary processing steps. Their core advantages include:

  • Quality and Aesthetics: Prefabricated stairs are produced using high-precision molds, ensuring uniform concrete density and high surface flatness. They can exhibit the natural texture of fair-faced concrete, achieving an aesthetically pleasing effect without additional decoration, and offer superior quality stability compared to cast-in-place stairs.
  • Construction Efficiency: After being prefabricated in the factory, the stairs are directly transported to the construction site for hoisting and fixation. Once installed, they can be used as construction access, significantly shortening the construction period, especially suitable for the rapid establishment of vertical transportation in high-rise prefabricated buildings.
  • Process Optimization: Handrail embedments are pre-embedded in the mold, avoiding on-site drilling or welding and reducing construction errors. Anti-slip strips and drip lines are molded in one piece, eliminating the need for post-processing such as grinding or cutting, enhancing construction safety and durability.

Customized Finished Stairs for Duplex/Loft Units

For units without pre-installed concrete stairs, homeowners can choose customized finished stairs made of solid wood or mixed materials (e.g., solid wood + glass/metal). Their features include:

  • Customized Design: Based on the stair opening dimensions, interior design style, and homeowner preferences, designers can flexibly adjust the shape of the treads, the style of the railings (e.g., straight, spiral, curved stairs), and material combinations to achieve a balance between space utilization and aesthetic appeal.
  • Factory Production: Components such as stair beams, treads, and railings are prefabricated in the factory and assembled using mortise-and-tenon joints or metal connectors, ensuring precise matching of components and reducing on-site installation errors.
  • Rapid Installation: Finished stairs are transported to the site in modular form and assembled by a professional team using bolts or welding, typically completed within 1-2 days. The installation process involves no wet work, minimizing pollution to the indoor environment.

Common Value of Both Types of Stairs: Both enhance construction efficiency and quality through industrial production while meeting functional and aesthetic needs in different scenarios, making them important choices for vertical transportation solutions in modern buildings.
