Prefabricated Concrete House Exterior Wall Panels
Prefabricated concrete house exterior wall panels are reinforced concrete slab components processed and manufactured in prefabrication plants or construction sites for building assembly. As the building's exterior enclosure structure, they combine functions such as enclosure, decoration, thermal insulation, fire protection, and heat insulation.

Types and Classifications
Prefabricated concrete exterior wall panels can be classified into two types based on their structural form:
- Prefabricated concrete external cladding wall panels: Composed of inner and outer leaf wall panels with a sandwich insulation layer, the outer leaf wall panel is typically no less than 6 centimeters thick, and the edges are sealed with Class A fire-resistant materials. This structure avoids the problem of traditional building exterior walls having insulation layer decoration fall off and improves thermal performance through the sandwich insulation system.
- Ultra-high-performance concrete exterior wall panels: Made of high-strength, highly durable concrete materials, they have superior mechanical properties and crack resistance, suitable for buildings with high structural performance requirements.
Based on materials and production processes, exterior wall panels can be further classified as:
- PC wall panels: Including single-sided composite, double-sided composite, and fully prefabricated types. Composite wall panels combine partial prefabrication with on-site pouring, balancing construction efficiency and structural integrity; fully prefabricated types are entirely produced in the factory and directly installed on-site.
- Industrialized finished wall panels: Such as ALC autoclaved aerated concrete lightweight wall panels (made from fly ash, cement, etc., through high-temperature and high-pressure autoclaving, featuring lightweight, thermal insulation, and fire resistance) and ceramsite concrete wall panels (using ceramsite as aggregate, with low density and good thermal insulation).
Construction Advantages
- Energy and material savings: External cladding panels can replace one side of the shear wall formwork, and composite panels can serve as the floor slab bottom formwork, reducing formwork usage; factory production avoids on-site masonry and plastering, lowering material waste.
- Shortened construction period: A large number of wall panels are prefabricated in the factory, requiring only lifting and connection on-site, which can shorten the construction period by 30%-50%.
- Improved quality: Factory production allows precise control over the thickness and spacing of the steel reinforcement protective layer, reducing human errors and enhancing structural durability.
Application Scenarios
As one of the "three panels" (exterior wall panels, interior wall panels, floor panels) in prefabricated buildings, prefabricated concrete exterior wall panels are mainly used for vertical components (such as shear walls) or enclosure components, suitable for standardized buildings like residential and office buildings, especially those with high requirements for construction efficiency and environmental performance.
