Prefabricated Concrete Container House
The prefabricated concrete container house can refer to the E-MIC prefabricated concrete box-type housing system in modular construction, which takes digital and modular design as its core and achieves efficient construction through standardized factory production, but requires the disassembly of some structures due to transportation constraints.

1. Design Concept and Production Mode
The E-MIC system is supported by digital technology. It completes the construction and disassembly of architectural models, pipeline layout, and housing unit combination simulations through computer terminals, relocating more than 70% of traditional on-site operations to the factory. This integrated 'design-production-assembly' mode enables the mass production of standardized components. For example, basic units such as prefabricated concrete modules, prefabricated beams, and prefabricated slabs are all molded through mold casting, with dimensional accuracy controlled to the millimeter level, ensuring tight on-site assembly. Factory production also reduces on-site wet operations, lowering environmental pollution such as dust and noise, aligning with the trend of green building development.
2. Structural Characteristics and Spatial Adaptability
The system adopts a modular combination approach, offering strong flexibility in spatial layout. A single prefabricated concrete module typically measures 6m×3m×3m (length×width×height) and can expand usable area through horizontal or vertical splicing, adapting to the diverse needs of scenarios such as urban renewal and old residential area renovations. For example, in narrow street renovations, modules can be stacked to form multi-story buildings; in low-density areas, they can be arranged horizontally to create open layouts. To ensure the integrity of living functions, large spaces like living rooms are divided into multiple modules for transportation and then reassembled on-site through bolt connections or wet splicing to ensure structural safety.
3. Transportation Constraints and Solutions
Due to road transportation regulations, the width of prefabricated components generally cannot exceed 3 meters; otherwise, special transportation permits are required. The E-MIC system addresses this challenge through structural optimization: ultra-wide parts (such as living rooms) are divided into two 1.5-meter-wide modules, which are then spliced into a whole on-site using wet joint technology. This design ensures transportation compliance while avoiding structural strength loss due to disassembly. Additionally, module weight is controlled within 20 tons through lightweight concrete formulations, compatible with the load capacity of ordinary transport vehicles.
4. Application Scenarios and Safety
Currently, the E-MIC system has been piloted in the renovation of old residential areas in cities like Beijing and Shanghai. Its seismic performance has been verified to meet an 8-degree seismic fortification standard, and its fire resistance rating reaches Class A non-combustible material standards. Modules are connected using high-strength bolts and supplemented with cast-in-place concrete joints to ensure overall structural stability. Compared to traditional brick-concrete structures, its construction period is shortened by more than 50%, and building waste generation is reduced by 80%, offering significant economic and environmental benefits.
