Construction Method for the Roof of Prefabricated Component Houses

Admin September 18, 2026

A relatively quick method for constructing the roof of a prefabricated component house is the prefabricated component installation method. Specific implementation requires thorough preliminary preparations and adherence to installation steps.

Preliminary Preparations

  1. Technical Preparations: Detailed design is crucial. Adjust component dimensions based on actual construction errors of the on-site main structure, while considering transportation width and height restrictions. Plan details such as roof drainage slopes, gutters, ventilation openings, and solar panel reservation points in advance. Clearly mark the positions of all embedded parts and reserved holes, and repeatedly verify the connection nodes and对接 (this Chinese word means 'connection' or 'joint', here it should be understood in context as '对接尺寸' means 'connection dimensions') dimensions with the main structure. After completing the detailed design, conduct technical briefings to clearly communicate tolerance requirements, quality standards, and safety precautions to the factory production team and on-site installation team.
  2. Mold and Material Preparations: Molds are generally made of steel. Upon arrival, check the mold's dimensional flatness, reserved slots, positioning holes for embedded parts, and gap sizes. After passing inspection, apply a release agent. For materials, steel bars should be sent for inspection in advance to ensure their model and spacing meet design requirements, and the roof protective layer is of sufficient thickness. Prepare concrete mix ratios in advance, adding an appropriate amount of waterproofing agent, with a grade that meets design requirements. Auxiliary materials such as embedded lifting components, connecting bolts, and waterproof sealants should also be inspected upon arrival.
  3. Site and Personnel Organization: The factory production site should be leveled and hardened. Check lifting equipment in advance to ensure normal operation. The finished product storage site should also meet requirements, ensuring it is level and firm to prevent component damage. Simultaneously, organize production and installation personnel to ensure orderly progress in all links.

Installation Steps

  1. Prefabricate roof ridge components in the factory, customizing length and shape according to actual needs. After transporting to the site, verify dimensions to ensure components meet design requirements.
  2. Secure components to roof purlins or the base layer using expansion bolts, with a spacing of 50 centimeters between bolts to ensure firm installation.
  3. Apply sealant at joints to prevent rainwater leakage; fill bottom gaps with cement mortar, eliminating the need for on-site mortar mixing to improve construction efficiency.
