Portable Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

A portable toilet, also known as a Portable toilet, is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides public restroom services.

I. Suitable Venues Portable toilets are suitable for a variety of settings, including stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential areas, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. Their flexibility enables them to quickly respond to temporary or fixed needs, such as providing basic sanitation services at large events, disaster relief efforts, or in remote areas.

II. Basic Components Portable toilets typically consist of the following core parts:

  1. Fecal Treatment System: Includes storage tanks or disposal units for collecting and treating waste.
  2. Structural Components: Flooring, walls, roofs, etc., form an enclosed space to ensure privacy and safety during use.
  3. Sanitary Facilities: Equipped with squat toilets, sit toilets, washing facilities, and water tanks. Some models use vacuum flushing technology, with a single flush volume as low as about 1 liter.
  4. Mobility Devices: Depending on the design, they may include lifting structures, powered towing systems, or solid tires for easy transportation and fixation.

III. Classification Methods

  1. By Structural Form:
    • Single-Unit Structure: Independent units suitable for spaces with limited room.
    • Composite Structure: Composed of multiple modules, allowing for functional or capacity expansion.
  2. By Mobility Method:
    • Lifting/Handling Type: Lifted and transported as a whole using lifting equipment, such as factory-standardized integrated toilets.
    • Powered/Towed Type: Equipped with engines or towing devices, capable of self-movement or being towed by vehicles.
  3. By Sewage Treatment Method:
    • Water-Flushing and Waterless-Flushing Suction Type: Relies on water sources for flushing or regularly sucks out waste.
    • Recirculating Water-Flushing Type: Reuses water resources through a filtration system to reduce consumption.
    • Dry-Packing Type: Uses biodegradable bags to collect waste, requiring no water source, suitable for water-scarce areas.

IV. Typical Cases

  1. Integrated Lifting Portable Toilet: Prefabricated in the factory and transported directly to the site for immediate use. It features stainless steel flooring and vacuum flushing technology, combining durability with water conservation.
  2. Eco-Friendly Foaming Portable Toilet: Equipped with a microbial foaming squat toilet, it reduces odors and water usage through foam coverage. Its solid tire design enhances damage resistance, making it suitable for complex terrains.

Portable toilets, through modular design and diverse functions, effectively address the issues of strong fixity and long construction periods associated with traditional toilets, becoming an important tool for modern urban management and emergency services.
