Portable Toilet Styles

Admin September 22, 2026

Portable toilets come in a variety of styles, which can be mainly classified into the following categories:

In terms of structural form, there are single-unit portable toilets and composite-structure portable toilets. Single-unit portable toilets are generally smaller in size and have a relatively simple structure, suitable for places with limited space or high temporary demand, such as small event venues and construction sites. Composite-structure portable toilets are composed of multiple single units, larger in scale, and have more complete functions, capable of meeting the simultaneous use of more people. They are commonly found in large-scale events, scenic spots, and other densely populated areas.

Based on the method of movement, there are lifting and handling portable toilets and powered and towed portable toilets. Lifting and handling portable toilets do not have their own power units and require the use of cranes, forklifts, and other equipment for movement and installation. They are suitable for scenarios where the frequency of movement is not high and the site facilitates equipment operation. Powered and towed portable toilets are equipped with power systems or towing devices, enabling autonomous movement or rapid transfer through vehicle towing. They offer higher flexibility and are suitable for places that require frequent relocation, such as touring performances and mobile exhibitions.

According to the sewage treatment method, there are water-flush and non-water-flush suction portable toilets, as well as recirculating water-flush portable toilets. Water-flush and non-water-flush suction portable toilets handle feces through water flushing or suction. The former requires a water connection and offers higher cleanliness; the latter does not require a water source and relies on suction equipment to collect feces into a fecal storage tank for regular cleaning. Recirculating water-flush portable toilets use a recirculating water system to reuse treated water for flushing, achieving water resource recycling. They are more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient, suitable for areas with water scarcity or high environmental protection requirements.

In addition, there are some specifically designed styles, such as the economical and practical portable toilets, which have a gray and white exterior, multiple squatting positions, and are equipped with complete water and electricity sanitary ware, suitable for places with certain requirements for cost and functionality. There are also homemade creative styles, such as portable restrooms made from water storage tanks, which achieve basic usage functions through clever design and modification, demonstrating innovation and practicality.
