Where to Connect Mobile Toilets

Admin September 22, 2026

The connection methods for the sewage systems of mobile toilets vary depending on their types, primarily falling into two categories: traditional water-flush types and ecological types. The specific connection methods are as follows:

For traditional water-flush mobile toilets, the connection of the sewage system depends on the specific design mode. If a conventional water-flush mode is adopted, the toilet's sewage pipes need to be connected to the municipal sewage network to ensure that the sewage is directly discharged into the urban sewage treatment system. If there is no access to the municipal sewage network on-site, a septic tank needs to be installed, and the fecal sewage is treated through regular pumping. In the direct water supply mode, the on-site tap water pipes need to be connected to the internal water inlet of the toilet using flexible hoses or PPR pipes to ensure the water supply for flushing. The connection of the sewage pipes should be selected according to the design: if the toilet is designed as an external discharge type, the sewage pipes need to be connected to the external sewage system; if it is designed as a fecal storage type, a sealed fecal storage tank needs to be installed, and the fecal sewage is regularly pumped and treated by professional vehicles.

The connection method for the sewage system of ecological mobile toilets is fundamentally different from that of traditional water-flush types. When such toilets use microbial degradation technology, specific bacteria are used to decompose feces and convert them into harmless substances. Throughout this process, there is no need to connect to external sewage pipes; only regular replenishment of bacteria and cleaning of residues are required. If dry separation technology is adopted, physical separation devices are used to separate feces from urine for separate treatment: solid feces are dehydrated and converted into organic fertilizer, while urine can be directly discharged or recycled after disinfection treatment, also without the need for external sewage pipe connections.

There are significant differences in the connection methods for the sewage systems of different types of mobile toilets: traditional water-flush types require special consideration of water source access and sewage pipe connections, while ecological types achieve pipe-free discharge through technological means. In practical applications, it is necessary to select the appropriate toilet type according to site conditions, usage requirements, and environmental protection requirements, and complete pipe connections or the installation of supporting facilities in strict accordance with design specifications to ensure the normal operation and environmental compliance of mobile toilets.
