Portable Toilet Room

Admin October 02, 2026

A portable toilet room, also known as a mobile toilet, is a facility that can be moved as a whole to provide public toilet services.

I. Basic Composition Mobile toilets are generally composed of fecal sewage storage tanks (or fecal sewage treatment devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. Initially, mobile toilets were mostly made of materials such as wood, with relatively simple structures and functions, and were prone to absorbing odors. With technological advancements, materials such as fiberglass and polyethylene have gradually been adopted, enhancing durability and hygiene performance.

II. Classification Methods

  1. By structural form: Mobile toilets can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure toilets are usually simpler and suitable for small-scale needs; composite-structure toilets are more complex and can meet more functional requirements.
  2. By mobility method: They can be classified as lifting and handling mobile toilets, as well as powered and towed mobile toilets. Lifting and handling types are suitable for short-distance movement; powered and towed types can be transported over long distances by vehicle traction.
  3. By sewage treatment method: They can be categorized as water-flush and waterless suction-type mobile toilets, circulating water-flush mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets. Water-flush types use water flow for flushing, offering better hygiene conditions; waterless suction types use vacuum suction technology to treat feces; circulating water-flush types reduce water consumption by recycling water resources; dry-packing types package feces for treatment without the need for water.

III. Characteristics and Advantages Mobile toilets have the advantages of being movable, combinable, and easy to transport. They can be quickly deployed according to demand in places such as stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential areas, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets, providing convenient toilet services to the public. At the same time, mobile toilets can be reused multiple times, reducing construction costs and environmental impact.

IV. Special Types In addition to traditional mobile toilets, there are also mobile bathroom units with wet-dry separation designs, such as models with a width of 2 meters and a length of 3 meters. These units have an overall white appearance, are equipped with aluminum alloy glass single doors, and have indoor washbasins and makeup mirrors placed outside, achieving wet-dry separation. Furthermore, there are portable toilets made using water storage tanks and pallets, which form simple yet practical mobile toilet spaces by fixing universal wheels and installing toilets, faucets, washbasins, and other components.
