Portable Toilet for Movable House
A portable toilet for movable houses generally refers to a mobile toilet, which is a facility that can be moved as a whole and is suitable for fixed or temporary locations.

I. Basic Components Mobile toilets are generally composed of fecal sewage storage tanks (or disposal devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. Their materials have gradually evolved from early wood to fiberglass and polyethylene, which are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and easy to clean. For example, fiberglass can effectively prevent odor penetration, while polyethylene is convenient for mass production and transportation.
II. Classification by Structure and Mobility
- Structural Forms
- Single-unit Structure: Designed as an independent unit, suitable for scenarios with limited space or temporary needs, such as small construction sites or event venues.
- Composite Structure: Composed of multiple modules, allowing for the expansion of functional areas (such as management rooms and barrier-free facilities), commonly found in large scenic spots or transportation hubs.
- Mobility Methods
- Lifting and Handling Type: Relies on lifting equipment or manual handling, suitable for short-term use or scenarios requiring frequent relocation.
- Powered and Trailer Type: Equipped with an engine or trailer device, can be moved by vehicle traction, suitable for cross-regional巡回 (circuit) use, such as music festivals or disaster emergencies.
III. Classification by Sewage Treatment Methods
- Water-flush and Waterless Suction Type: Feces are discharged into storage tanks through water flushing or vacuum suction, and are regularly collected and transported by special vehicles, suitable for areas with water sources and complete sewage discharge conditions.
- Recirculating Water-flush Type: Utilizes biodegradation or chemical treatment technologies to purify sewage, enabling water resource recycling and reducing water consumption, suitable for water-scarce areas or ecologically sensitive zones.
- Dry Packaging Type: Uses biodegradable bags or containers to collect feces without water, which can be used as organic fertilizer after treatment, suitable for arid areas or places with high environmental protection requirements.
IV. DIY Portable Toilet Solution Some users create simple portable toilets using water storage tanks and pallets:
- Install universal wheels at the bottom of the pallet for easy mobility.
- Cut an opening at the top of the water storage tank, invert and stack it to form walls.
- Install a toilet, faucet, washbasin, and other facilities inside, and connect the water tank and shower hose.
- Make a door with wooden boards and install a door handle to complete the enclosed structure. This solution has a low cost, but attention should be paid to sealing, load-bearing safety, and compliance, suitable for temporary or personal use.
