Outdoor Mobile Toilet

Admin September 20, 2026

An outdoor mobile toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides toilet services to the public. It is suitable for various places and has multiple types and features.

Suitable Places

Outdoor mobile toilets are suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential communities, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. These places usually have a high volume of foot traffic and a high demand for toilet facilities. Moreover, there may be temporary or seasonal changes in demand, and outdoor mobile toilets can flexibly meet these needs.

Composition Structure

Generally, it consists of a fecal sewage storage tank (or fecal sewage treatment device), floor slab, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, moving device, etc. These components work together to ensure the normal use and convenient movement of the mobile toilet.

Material Development

Initially, outdoor mobile toilets were made of wood, with a simple structure and function, and were prone to absorbing odors. With technological progress, they gradually evolved to use materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene. These new materials offer better durability, water resistance, and environmental friendliness, improving the service life and user experience of mobile toilets.

Type Classification

  • By structural form: They can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure mobile toilets are usually relatively simple and suitable for small places; composite-structure mobile toilets are more complex and have more complete functions, suitable for large places.
  • By moving method: They can be divided into lifting and handling mobile toilets, and powered and towed mobile toilets. Lifting and handling mobile toilets are suitable for short-distance movement; powered and towed mobile toilets can be transported over long distances by vehicles.
  • By sewage treatment method: They are divided into water-flush and waterless-flush suction mobile toilets, circulating water-flush mobile toilets, and dry-packing mobile toilets. Water-flush and waterless-flush suction mobile toilets are suitable for places with a water source; circulating water-flush mobile toilets reduce water consumption by recycling water resources; dry-packing mobile toilets do not require a water source and are suitable for places with a water shortage or inconvenient water access.

Design Principles

The design of outdoor mobile toilets should follow the principles of easy movement, economic durability; environmental protection and ecological friendliness, beneficial to the environment; improving efficiency, and promoting humanity. These principles ensure the practicality, environmental friendliness, and humanized design of mobile toilets.
