Ordos Prefabricated Houses
Ordos prefabricated houses mainly include two types: monolithic prefabricated concrete houses and integrated houses. The following provides an introduction from aspects such as material structure, construction cost, applicable scenarios, and environmental impact:

Monolithic Prefabricated Concrete Houses
Materials and Structure: Primarily using cement-based materials, they are produced through mold-based manufacturing to create integral modules such as wall panels, floor slabs, and roofs. The reinforcement arrangement, concrete pouring, and curing are completed in the factory. The material mix is optimized for the climatic characteristics of Ordos, providing frost resistance and wind erosion resistance. The modules are connected using mechanical fastening or special grouting materials to ensure structural integrity. Construction and Cost: The construction efficiency is significantly higher than that of traditional buildings because the modules are produced in parallel in the factory, and only foundation construction and lifting assembly are required on-site. The initial investment may be slightly higher than some traditional structures, but the maintenance cost over the entire life cycle is lower. Thanks to the abundant local cement resources, the overall cost is approximately several hundred to over a thousand yuan per square meter. Applicability and Environmental Protection: Suitable for residential buildings in agricultural and pastoral areas, tourism facilities, and temporary housing, they can withstand strong winds and sandstorms. Prefabricated production reduces on-site construction waste and dust, but the high energy consumption and carbon emissions associated with cement production need to be addressed.
Integrated Houses
Materials and Structure: The prefabricated components are produced in the factory, integrating functions such as insulation and pre-embedded water and electricity pipelines. The main frame is mostly made of light steel structures, and the enclosure structure uses composite panels (a combination of metal cladding and insulation core materials), balancing strength and thermal insulation performance. Construction and Cost: They are quickly assembled through mechanical lifting and bolt connections, resulting in extremely high construction efficiency. The cost is influenced by design complexity, material selection, and construction scale, but they generally offer cost-effective solutions. Applicability and Environmental Protection: Widely used in scenarios such as rural self-built house renovations, scenic spot check-in points, real estate sales offices, and emergency command centers. The construction method reduces on-site wet operations and lowers environmental pollution; the material selection takes into account transportation efficiency and assembly convenience, aligning with green building trends. Technical Features: The component connection process must ensure structural stability and airtightness; the water and electricity systems adopt prefabricated reserved channel designs, requiring only interface connection and system integration on-site, simplifying the construction process.
Both types of prefabricated houses demonstrate the advantages of modular and industrialized construction, and the appropriate type can be selected based on specific needs (such as climate adaptability, cost budget, and usage scenarios).
