Old Containers Transformed into Animal Housing
Old containers can be transformed into various types of animal housing, such as insect hotels, zoo-themed campsites, and family pet shelters.

Insect Hotels
The "Insect Hotel" project designed by Arup Group in the UK features a multi-story structure and a "Voronoi diagram" form, composed of 25 layers of birch plywood. The cut gaps are filled with various waste materials to attract different insects and provide habitats. This design is not only eco-friendly but also visually appealing and fun, making it easy to create with waste materials and suitable for promotion in urban gardens and parks.
Zoo-Themed Campsites
In Jinan Wildlife Kingdom, containers have been transformed into an "Animal Home" themed campsite, including a specialty restaurant and open activity spaces. Designers utilize the modular nature of containers to combine them into colorful modules representing different animals, such as flamingos, tigers, and elephants, forming specialty areas like Panda Dining and Bird Camp. This design not only reduces the impact on the natural environment but also sparks people's interest in exploring nature.
Family Pet Shelters
Old containers can also be transformed into shelters for family pets. For example, there are cases where containers have been converted into cozy cat houses, equipped with comfortable beds, activity areas, and necessary facilities to meet pets' daily needs. This transformation not only provides a safe and comfortable living environment for pets but also reflects the owner's creativity and care for their pets.
Other Animal Shelters
Additionally, old containers can be transformed into shelters for other animals based on specific needs, such as bird habitats and small mammal shelters. During the transformation process, it is essential to consider the animals' habits, living comfort, and safety to ensure that the transformed housing meets their survival needs.
