National Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

The national mobile toilet is a modern toilet facility that is movable, combinable, and easy to transport, suitable for various public places to meet the public's temporary or periodic toilet needs.

Technological Development: Upgrade of Materials and Treatment Types

Early mobile toilets were mostly constructed with wood, featuring simple structures. With technological progress, they have now been upgraded to modern facilities using new materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene. In terms of sewage treatment types, various options have emerged, including water-flush, waterless suction, circulating water-flush, and dry-packing types. For example, the circulating water-flush type achieves sewage recycling through biofilm technology, saving water resources and being environmentally friendly; the dry-packing type uses biodegradable plastic bags to collect excreta, facilitating easy disposal and being environmentally friendly.

Application Scenarios: Adapting to Diverse Needs

In cultural and tourism scenarios, mobile toilets can adapt to extreme environments. For instance, the Namtso Scenic Area in Tibet uses reinforced sewage pipes to solve low-pressure blockage issues, while during the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival, insulation covers and heating systems are installed to ensure normal operation at -30℃. In event scenarios, modular design supports flexible addition or reduction of compartments based on the number of people. During the Hangzhou Asian Games, 30 units were deployed in 40 minutes, keeping queue times under 5 minutes. In emergency scenarios, 15 hoistable toilets covered three relief sites within 48 hours during the Gansu earthquake relief efforts, with a folding design that can be set up in 10 minutes and equipped with solar power systems to meet the toilet needs of affected people.

Design Standards: Ensuring Quality and Safety

The frames of mobile toilets are mostly welded with national standard steel, covered with anti-corrosion and fire-resistant materials such as color-coated steel plates or carved panels, with a service life of over 20 years. Internally, they are equipped with independent toilet pit partition treatment systems, anti-slip floors, automatic flushing toilet bowls, and ventilation and lighting systems, complying with the GBLT18091-92 standard. Intelligent water-saving ecological and environmentally friendly toilets further enhance water-saving performance by automatically collecting hand-washing water and adding special agents to achieve a flushing effect of 0.46 liters per person.

Industry Scale: Growing Demand and a Complete Industrial Chain

According to a 2024 report by the China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation, China needs to add more than 50,000 new mobile toilets annually, with a year-on-year growth rate of 22% in demand for scenarios such as large-scale events, scenic area services, and emergency relief. The industrial chain involves more than 20 production enterprises in Liaoning, Shanghai, Hebei, and other places, providing diversified solutions such as prefabricated and ecological water-saving types.
