Nanxian Mobile Toilet

Admin September 21, 2026

The following is information about mobile toilets in Nanxian:

I. Distribution and Maintenance of Temporary Mobile Toilets

Nanxian has set up temporarily constructed mobile toilets in remote areas or near temporary construction sites. These facilities mainly serve mobile populations or short-term event needs. In the early days, some mobile toilets had odor issues due to low maintenance frequency. However, with the improvement of environmental protection requirements, relevant departments have enhanced sanitary conditions by increasing cleaning frequency and optimizing sewage discharge systems. For example, measures such as using sealed fecal storage tanks and regularly spraying deodorants have effectively reduced odor diffusion and improved the user experience.

II. Progress in the Construction of Rural Public Sanitary Toilets

Nanxian attaches great importance to improving the rural sanitary environment. In 2024, it clearly set the task of building 22 new rural public sanitary toilets and promoted standardized construction through the "first-toilet-pass" training meetings. This system requires using the acceptance standards of the first toilet as a template to ensure uniform construction quality for subsequent projects, covering key aspects such as site selection planning, fecal waste treatment, and ventilation design. For example, some toilets adopt three-compartment septic tank technology for harmless fecal waste treatment; some incorporate solar heating to enhance winter comfort. The popularization of such toilets will significantly improve rural sanitary conditions and reduce the risk of disease transmission.

III. Supporting Services of the "Urban Management Station" in Urban Areas

The newly built "Urban Management Station" in Baota Lake Community, Nanxian County, is an upgraded version of mobile toilet functions. The station is equipped with standardized restrooms and provides free services such as toilet use, rest, and drinking water. This facility operates 24 hours a day and is equipped with an automatic flushing system, hand-washing sinks, and hand-drying equipment, offering better sanitary conditions than traditional mobile toilets. In addition, the station integrates urban management service functions, such as rest areas for sanitation workers and citizen consultation windows, becoming an important node in the urban public service network.

IV. Future Optimization Directions

For the long-term development of mobile toilets, Nanxian may further explore intelligent management, such as using Internet of Things technology to monitor toilet stall usage and fecal waste capacity in real-time for dynamic cleaning scheduling; or promoting ecological toilet technology that utilizes microorganisms to decompose fecal waste and reduce water consumption. These measures will drive mobile toilets to upgrade towards environmental protection, efficiency, and sustainability, better meeting public needs.
